it's real. perfect example is men not wearing masks now because they're uncool or a sign of weakness

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.marketwatch.com/amp/story/shameful-not-cool-a-sign-of-weakness-men-are-less-likely-to-wear-face-masks-to-protect-against-coronavirus-study-finds-2020-05-14

that being said, and sorry if this isn't woke enough for ktt, but I believe in masculine and feminine traits don't think people should be held to them, but nor should they be attacked for embodying them

caring what people think is cool or not isn't gender specific imo, pretty sure it's connected to our fear of loneliness, fear of being ostracized from the pack and fending for ourselves.

I could imagine there being more of an evolutionary basis in males for the fear of being viewed as weak though for obvious reasons

This is a safe space, speak your piece.

I think both genders have evolved over thousands of years to have different strengths and responsibilities. they're not rules to follow but rather paths to take to help people fully optimize themselves. for example, men are physically stronger than women so when a man does strength training he'll probably feel more confident and reflect a masculine trait that is still admired (though people struggle to admit this) in society, while also being able to do some of the dirty work or jobs that are needed. women have better emotional intelligence so being in jobs like teachers and psychologists can help them hone their skills and use their natural talents to help the world.

does that mean men can't be teachers and women can't be construction workers? of course not, only that people might be naturally inclined and disposed to excel at one rather than the other.

masculinity in itself is not toxic. extreme masculinity is toxic and should be called out but most people try to call out any masculine trait as toxic while often times celebrating feminine traits. femininity, though a loaded term, is often used positively whereas masculinity has largely become a pejorative term. we should separate toxic masculinity from masculinity. don't throw out the baby from the bath water

A progressive but flawed king, we stan

Now, explain why toxic masculinity is "lowkey needed"

It's not gonna go well but u be askin

U gotta have some type of test in rl to find your way

They will always exist and are needed for certain situations like

    Lower pay jobs, conflicts/wars

There needs to be a dynamic when you are born to learn both ways so you can choose

By toxic masculinity only existing makes it wrong and unfair to treat gay people like they are not normal

But by not existing - u can only get a "soft" generation

Im catching flack for this crazy

A lot of these woke media publications are clickbait, they don't care about these issues, it's all to drive up traffic. My advice to you is if you really want to learn better, don't listen to them, do the research for yourself.

Men are born protectors of the family home.

    Strength, courage, leadership,

whilst toxic masculinity is generally termed to mean men dont express emotions

its also a movement to demsculize men of other traits. as expressed above

Toxic masculinity and demasculinization are two extremes

Nobody is talking about normal healthy masculinity

Also a nigga could wear whatever he wants and still maintain the positive masculine qualities you highlighted.
