Says the transphobe who called a transgender woman and Olympic athlete a “scumbag” for giving her views on transgenderism in sports

    No self awareness at all

Give them their own league man. It’ll start small but there will be pioneer trans athletes and more and more people are transitioning and at earlier ages as well

The leagues will grow. Every sports league starts out small.

  • I stand with the trans community but I don’t see how this is controversial tbh

Gender exclusive league, they won’t even ask your gender cuz it’s not important

Just pull up and come ball

    I fw this idea tbh.

i'm not trans, so if a trans person itt wants to give their perspective please do, but a separate league seems pretty dehumanizing to me tbh. trans women are women and same thing for trans men, putting them in their own leagues is basically denying that and saying they are something different. there's no need to have mens, womens and trans leagues cause all that does is create another space where they can be looked at as "others".

Women transitioning to men will never be a threat to male sports.

Men transitioning to women have an obviously unfair athletic advantage.

This is a win for women's sports. Even in a scenario where a trans athlete doesn't dominate the competition, they're still taking the place of a woman who worked her entire life for a competitive shot. It's unfair.

The fact that trans people have a unique lot in life doesn't negate the rules for fair competition.

I don't understand how this point of view is transphobic.

Trans people work hard all their lives for success too? You could argue they actually have to do way more to be successful in general

it's not dehumanizing. we separate leagues based on all sorts of things. age, gender, experience, skill, intellectual ability, physical handicaps

we have handicap leagues, we have minor leagues, special olympics, men and women leagues, different leagues for every age group up to adulthood. a trans league would be par for the course.

it's just a way to try and level the playing field as much as possible. looking at it as being dehumanizing is overly sensitive and missing the entire point of competition and sports for the sake of inclusivity.

It's not transphobic. Dudes think if you acknowledge the physical differences between genders you are transphobic.

Trans people work hard all their lives for success too? You could argue they actually have to do way more to be successful in general

So we should delegitimize women's sports as a whole because a very, very niche segment of society isn't sure how they fit into it? That's not how the world works.

"I’m 100% supportive of trans inclusion. People do not know very much about it. We’re missing almost everything. Frankly, I think what a lot of people know is versions of the right’s talking points because they’re very loud. They’re very consistent, and they’re relentless.

At the highest level, there is regulation. In collegiate sports, there is regulation. And at the Olympic and professional level. It’s not like it’s a free-for-all where everyone’s just doing whatever.

And I think people also need to understand that sports is not the most important thing in life, right? Life is the most important thing in life. And so much of this trans inclusion argument has been put through the extremely tiny lens of elite sports. Like that is not the way that we need to be framing this question. We’re talking about kids. We’re talking about people’s lives. We’re talking about the entire state government coming down on one child in some states, three children in some states. They are committing suicide, because they are being told that they’re gross and different and evil and sinful and they can’t play sports with their friends that they grew up with. Not to mention trying to take away health care. I think it’s monstrous."
