Most likely March next year but kind of want winter season and a less touristy time so might go January instead. Anyone who has been or live in Tokyo and Osaka give me tips, things to do things not to do things to see, etc. My first time travelling since I was 7 and first time not with my family so
fly to osaka
stay there for a while, travel around the kansai region: kobe (visit the port try the beef), kyoto (temples temples temples and old style japan), nara (temples and feed deer) etc try takoyaki in osaka visit izakayas and shinsaibashi and namba
maybe go hiking too
then take the shinkansen to tokyo visit izakayas & club go to harajuku for weird stuff and animal cafes (pig, owl etc)
i currently live in japan but i’ve only been tokyo once and only to club i don’t really fw tokyo if i’m being honest, osaka is much better
btw you’ll find a LOT of tourists in tokyo, osaka and kyoto - especially kyoto.
get a JR rail pass
Forgot to mention this. That is absolutely imperative. Should be the first thing you do.
If you want to save money, fly into Haneda Airport and forget the cabs, they'll cost you another $200 to get to town. Instead, get a pocket wifi, walk down to the train station, get a Pasmo card for put $20 in and hop on a train. It'll save you a lot more money.
I'd recommend hotel but again for budget friendly purposes, a motel or even hostel is great. The little cubicle sleeping stations you see online are mostly overnight.
Rather than looking for a spot near attractions, find a hotel near a train station with good lines! ex. Ginza Line runs through almost everything you need to see. The less stops and changes, the better.
Let me know what you're into and I can recommend some great spots for you but as for a general outline:
Shibuya - Crosswalk, shopping, sight seeing
Shimokitazawa - Best vintage shopping in the world
Omotesando - incredible assortments of snacks and sweets
Koto City - Museums and art installations
If you want specific shop names, let me know!

why do u live in Japan
went once in 08’, was obsessed with Japan at the time. Loved Tokyo. Found this restaurant that served the most amazing pepper steak. Temples were such an amazing part of the trip too
They hate black people. F*** japan
What they do to you when you went there?
Good luck finding a trash can too. Gotta carry your trash around with you. And dont leave it somewhere.
outer region of tokyo is more fun imo, cop a JR railpass, pocket wi-fi, and venture out to Tennoji go to the Haruka towers for good sightseeing, play some tennis in the parks, and move onward to Shin Osaka for shopping if you got a bag to blow there's also the Osaka aquarium and forthcoming super mario world that's being built there.
if you want to splurge on electronics hit up Yodobashi, Book-off, and more around the Kyoto area especially while you're there hit up the Naka ward and visit the Niishiki food market in the morning make sure to bring cash for most transactions involving food. Ride out to Nara to experience a nice quiet side of Japan you can also see the former burned building of kyoani while you're out there.

I wonder how many matches on tinder I would get in Japan?
all them bad moe b****es
Went in 2018 for a couple of weeks and spent a month traveling throughout Japan last year
I stayed in kabukicho the first time which is right next to Shinjuku (literally 5 min walk to Shinjuku station). It's known as the red light district but it's not really odee sleazy or anything. At most you're gonna have some Nigerians asking if you want to see some girls.
Ideally I'd stay close to Shinjuku because it's very easy to get anywhere, it's not as jam packed as Shibuya, and it's still a major hub. After Shinjuku I'd go for Roppongi or Shibuya. Slightly west of the city center is definitely where it's at.
The subway shouldn't take long to get used to. Just buy the passmo card and put like 5k yen ($50) in it and refill as you need to. The subway isn't that expensive but that depends on how far you travel since it's by distance. That's one reason staying in one of the major hubs is worth it.
Food is pretty cheap especially if you aren't tracking down Michelin stars and s*** the whole time. A fulfilling lunch is gonna run you $12-18. Dinner varies a lot more but you can do a lot especially since theres so much street food.
A lot of museums require planning and tickets or reservations in advance.
teamLab Borderless
Asakusa for the sensoji temple
Nezu museum
Mori art museum
Design festa gallery
Museum of modern art MOMAT
Ghibli museum
Shinjuku Gyoen National garden and Yoyogi Park are really nice too
Food—
Tsukiji fish market— market area with great sushi spots with the freshest sushi around. Kinda touristy and confusing.
Unagi— a specialty in japan, unagi is broiled or grilled eel. Lots of places specialize in this dish, so much so that it’ll be the only thing they offer. Some of the places are crazy expensive and impossible to get into, but Hitsumabushi Bincho is much more casual and located conveniently in Ginza.
Izakayas— Japanese pubs. General term for a pub that typically will serve yakitori or grilled skewers of meat, veggies, etc. they’re all over the place but tend to be fairly small (only a few seats) though exceptions exist. Also sometimes known as Yakiniku, referring to grilled meat.
If you stay near Shinjuku you have Golden Gai nearby which are a bunch of small alleys packed with bars. The people inside range from tourists to locals and they always chat and have a good time in there
Go to Akihabara and walk down to the Don Quixote and get those kobe beef skewers out front. A1 snack.
For shopping, make sure to hit shibuya/Harajuku/roppongi (all in the same general area). Shibuya has the most cool stuff like bape, Visvim, cdg, Margiela, atmos, and a bunch of thrift shops like Ragtag that specialize in high end/designer stuff
Just know all the consignment shops prices are crazy. But you can def find a steal if really look around. Definitely hit up the actual Japanese flagships like Undercover because they're all gonna be cheap as hell.
I was only in Osaka for a few days so I can't recommend much but if you want to f*** some b****es you can hit the red light district in Osaka
It's like a bunch of shops where you can window shop w****s and pick whichever you want. Each one gonna be around 28k yen and condoms are mandatory even for head
I wonder how many matches on tinder I would get in Japan?
Fishing with dynamite. Hundreds easily. The most egregious s*** I ever seen was when I got 400+ likes staying in Shanghai for 2 days
