It’s hilarious to see people in here moralize about “unnecessary” violence and naughty language in a crime film riffing on and directly referencing 70’s exploitation movies. Also seeing Tony Scott’s work called ugly….yeah just some all time terrible takes in this thread.

    Terrible af fr

    Tarantino prefers it as well

Wild at Heart, the Breathless remake from the 80’s (which is a clear influence on both Wild At Heart and True Romance), Spielberg’s Sugarland Express, and The Getaway.

    Thank you

I’m coming from a comedic angle so idk if it’ll be as poignant as Bonnie & Clyde but f*** it, it’ll be fun

So maybe like a tone like Hit Man but more leaned into the Bonnie Clyde aspect?

True Romance is literally a magnum-opus.

Tony Scott was the best person to direct it, and I believe Tarantino has even said so.

I love it so much, I'm so happy the warm perception it has amongst Tarantino purists. His finger prints are all over it, but Tony just made the best possible adaptation of that screenplay.

I echo Margot Robbie's sentiments that it features the best s***scene ever presented in a movie.

Tony really dropped a master work accompanied by a sublime screenplay.

    RIP Tony Scott 💐
