And @Noir I’m not saying that he shouldn’t be arrested for that reason, I was just saying that would be the response to him being arrested. People tend to think Trump being arrested would wake up the right to all the corruption, when really it would just push them further right and more into authoritarianism.
All in all I’m not saying former presidents shouldn’t be charged, just that I really don’t think he would be. Could be, but I doubt it.
My issue is not whether Trump will or won't face prison time, but the fear of potential reprisal from the right surrounding a sentence. We can't be desperate for unity with people who are actively undermining the Democratic process. If they're upset about their mans, they can take some tear gas to the face like the rest of us.
