trials that have shown mail in voting to be bad
in the past mail in voting fraud has been a big issue...for democrats. for years, mail-in voting fraud massively benefited republicans in gerrymandered areas. this has been memory holed and now the narrative is mail-in voting is good and needs to be implemented.
the real reason is because mail-in voting is done ahead of time, and thus is not affected by sudden random occurrences. one of the only reasons establishment democrats won over progressive challengers was mail-in ballots being filed in bulk just before the BLM protests.

i was a mailman, if he's telling me mail can be lost or mis-delivered i am SHOCKED
I mean either way he’s getting 4 more years, it doesn’t matter if we delay it or figure it out in November

Trust me bruh I been saying Trump is gonna win since 2018 but he’s spent this entire year demolishing his moderate base.
The fact that mail in voting could easily result in fraud is just common sense
Especially in such a polarised time where both sides think this election is a life or death situation

No its not common sense nor fact.
Its a baseless allegation that is only being pushed to perpetuate voter marginalization and cast doubt on the election results.

voter marginalisation?
what are you on about
voter marginalisation?
what are you on about
You understand that undercutting mail-in voting suppresses the ability of certain populations to vote?

like who?
are you saying that every single election in the past that hasn't had mail-in voting has been suppressing certain populations?

Native Americans, people who don't live near polling stations, people with low mobility, military, at-risk people who don't want to risk their health during a pandemic.
Every single election since the civil war has had mail-in voting...

there's a difference between absentee voting & and drowning the system in widespread mail-in voting

Absentee ballots and mail-in ballots are the same thing, subject to the same verification processes

im saying there's difference in the sense that one of them is easily processed and kept track of
wide spread mail-in voting across the whole country is like opening flood gates. how can anyone effectively control such a large amount of votes and process them effectively?? if you stop and think about it, it's a ridiculous idea, especially in a country with a population the size of the US

They are both easily processed and kept track of, again they are subject to the same verification process. Mail-in voting accounted for 25% in 2016. 5 states universally use it. Incident rates of fraud stand between 0.0003 percent and 0.0025 percent.

ahh okay
didnt know that, cheers
Obviously this is wrong on many levels but why are people pretending that universal mail in voting wouldnt be an absolute disaster
Yep.. this s*** is a disaster where Im from and we are a first world country too lmao

Yeah this is bullshit. Britain, Austria and other developed countries have has problems and straight up fraud with mail in voting.
It doesnt take a genius to figure out that parents will fill out their childrens voting papers instead of thel since we all know that young people dont vote.
