Oh true, that’s just additional BTS footage. Haven’t watched it personally but I’m sure it’s out there. The documentary that was on the initial release of S3 box set is definitely essential watching though

allegedly there isn't very much left on the cutting room floor from S3, they had a very labored over script developed over 5 years and filmed it very cost efficiently out of sequence which didn't allow for much experimentation either. Lynch famously complained about in this bts clip (one of the only clips you will find of him actually angry)

for context, on his first film Eraserhead he took 5 years for shooting, he lived in the sets and just slowly scraped together budget to be able to continue shooting.

never watched twin peaks anything, looking to watch The Return, will I understand s*** ?

u never watched the first 2 seasons? why would you start with s3 then?

20+ years between them, could be a different story ? not really interested in watching the first 2 just heard good things about the 3rd, might check a summary on YouTube if it's necessary ?

i mean there's a huge time gap and yea the story is quite different for the most part (i'm only in the middle of s3 myself rn as a first time viewer)
but still there are still mostly the same characters from the previous 2 seasons, albeit older.
and then there's the whole twin peaks lore, i woulnd't wanna miss that man.

so i strongly advise against starting at s3 there's lots of s*** that is super confusing even for ppl who watched all 3 seasons, i imagine it would turn you off the show completely if u start at 3.
you could skip some s2 episodes during the middle (where lynch left production)if you wanted to, but even that i wouldn't advise

Dont bother if you not willing to watch the first 2 seasons + the movie. You wont understand s***.
