5. Plenty of influence in the industry today

7. Multiple successful albums with fans, critics, and mainstream audiences
8. Arguably is a decent rapper at worst to a great rapper at best
9. Def is known main streamwise for several different reasons.Is his only barrier to be solidified is having one rap album that competes with FHD?

PurrpYeah it’s not as far off some people would say. The more I think about it the difference is just that they rap about different things. At that point it’s all preference
I’m probably taking most Tyler songs and albums over cole’s in almost any situation bc they mean way more to me but I think I would still rate cole as a better rapper by the old head definition overall
Yeah I feel like once you get labelled as someone who isn’t lyrical its hard to ever be considered lyrical
Whats crazy is I think tyler was pretty lyrical when he was a teenager but from Goblim-Cherry Bomb his albums were so production focused and of course the content on the earlier stuff was terrible
I think on Flower Boy and CMIYGL tyler has multiple verses that are great imo. Like introspective, thoughtful, charismatic etc
I think if it came to just rap and who has the best bars Tyler isn’t close to Cole, but if its a topical song that the verses have to follow I genuinely do think the gap between them isn’t that big
