Mr. Morale is experimental in the topics explored and the type of production KENDRICK HIMSELF isnt usually on. Not as a whole we know this isnt Shabazz Palaces

Quelle actually did a tweet giving props to morale but also added if he or his peoples did production like worldwide steppers they would just be looked at as weird.

United in grief and worldwide steppers are def experimental, both of those are legit weirder than anything jpeg for example has done in the last year

What if I told you Sicko Mode was a more experimental song than Gimme the Loot because it has 3 beat switches because that's how some of yall sound itt

But gimme the loot has 2 different voices arguing with eachother 🤔

Quelle chris is never going to be mainstream nor does he want to even make that type of music so I don’t understand his frustration at all

he know better, love him tho

i think the ability to create an atmosphere with just your voice and the piano that builds that scene in my brain and feeling of what he’s going for is pretty experimental in how minimal it was to create something fresh

like i said, you got it brother

That's fair man, I do see where you're coming from, and I think especially by the standards of mainstream Hip-Hop in 2022, from one of the biggest artists in the genre, a lot of the stuff on the album is wildly bold and unusual, but I feel like you misinterpreted what I was saying about experimentation about United in Grief and I'm sorry if I sounded mad or uncharitable at any point in response

Like the approach to We Cry Together is pretty much something we've heard from Biggie and (especially) Eminem before IMO, but to release it as Kendrick Lamar in 2022 when your last album was DAMN. is insane, the album is very against the grain of its time and place for the most part, but only a few parts made me stop in my tracks like 'What is he DOING here?' In the way that United in Grief did

Been seeing it on my feed as of lately

The cinematic feel of the song n whole album is still so crazy

I don't think we'll see an album with the same production value as it for a very long time
