Here, nothing is curated. You’re mostly reading through text and engaging your brain by creating some of your own. The pace at which you receive stimulation is slower by default, It’s not all mindless, there is actual discussion, too.
TikTok,discussion is very limited. So you’re barely engaging. You’ve got fast-paced visuals with a bunch of effects & audio, most of it specifically curated to be mindless, stupid and overly stimulating. It’s been researched our brains can’t handle that at all.
Both experiences can make you stupid but only one of them is inherently designed to do so
