Oh she did, no doubt. She was also a horrible candidate and I hate that she won the nomination.

You’ll notice though, that I never said anything opposed to those thoughts in my posts itt if you read them

There’s levels to it. D*** dealers tied to large cartel rings or have excessive amounts of capital being used to traffics and sell should be met with strict punishment under the law (if that includes death under the will of whatever people’s government decides so be it)

Petty d*** dealers shouldn’t be executed and should have minor infractions w/ focus on rehabilitation and finding stable economic opportunities elsewhere.

This would be decided on at a community level alongside upper level elected officials.

People taking it to mean your small plug selling you an 1/8 is gonna get shot are too literal although can’t blame you.

Mao also did not just “kill” landlords either, they were struggled against and allowed to be reincorporated into the new socialist society, they kept a small plot of land like every other worker.
Only the largest and most reactionary landlords were killed, with the local community usually leading it.

These are all goals that have been achieved before and overall good things to show how d*** use can be combatted in a country plagued with immense poverty and economic strangulation.

I see what your saying in regard to it not applying to low level dealers and that's my question; where do you draw the line? Either way, we've already had an ineffective war on d**** and giving police more power is never the answer

Black and brown people have been having to negotiate the lesser evil since the civil rights act ..because it's only been 60 years. What country had their s*** figured out in 60 years? It's a fight til we die and hopefully s*** will slightly better for the next generation

Because I seen first hand what atlanta does when it can literally gerrymander a district up OUTTA NOWHERE in order to prop up insane b**** of the decade Marjorie Taylor Greene.

I seen Stacey Abrams get robbed at the local elections fam. This system is past broken and MLK being killed before reaching that radical stage of his life (“I fear I may have integrated us into a burning house.”)

No one forcing these people to distribute poison

The crisis on d*** addiction in the US is a result of many failed facets, not because of people selling crack on the corner.

Heavy criminal penalties have already existed for d*** dealers for decades-- it does nothing. Ask any DEA special agent how far that's gotten them. Law enforcement can go only as far as its legislative arm, and it's a Sisyphean task to wipe out d*** dealing that way. What's the next step-- invading Mexico and China to execute cartel leaders and precursor chemical distributor executives?

The crisis isn't going away until we look into the deeper economic instability in neighborhoods where d*** distribution occurs, as well as the social failure brought in by how we treat the homeless and the poor in American society. Not to mention, extreme regulations on pharmaceutical giants and how we handle healthcare.

Trusting the state (especially the current state) with the execution of anyone is also laughable. Even if we already lived in a socialist state.

Biden never said s*** about sponsoring a genocide. Going through every hook and cranny to do it.

My nigga when do WE demand more from our constituents that WE put into office?

How many years past before one can determine they lost faith in the system and put s*** in they own hands?

It’s also some of our entire lifetimes. If YOU wanna spend yours happy with scraps be my guest. Ancestors fought and died for your right to enjoy that.

But recognize that’s all they are: scraps.

Some of us wanting better shouldnt be clowned for thinking of alternatives

We are still placating to old mostly right leaning people because that's who votes. Imo, organizing young people to vote is more realistic than organizing young people (especially zoomers and gen alpha) to put their lives on the line with no clear end in sight.

capitalism has been around for hundreds of years

black people were on the verge of liberation in the 50s-70s, precisely because of the militancy of multiple black nationalist and liberation groups who understood the importance of anti-imperialism and anti-capitalism. Not even getting into the broad coalition building between other progressive people’s movements, a real communist left, and the real threat of countries such as the USSR and PRC providing an alternative to how society could be constructed

It was the combined effort that forced the ruling class to enact concessions as well as eliminate the more radical elements of black people while allowing black liberal types to be integrated into the American political system.

@insertcoolnamehere has a point where the system has shown its flaws, its operating exactly as intended. It’s time for something new. All the talk and hand wringing (not you, in general) about all the factors we know the government is responsible for (crack epidemic, war on d****, COINTELPRO, etc etc) yet the only solution is to still wait and see and keep voting for the lesser evil until the right progressive candidate comes along and gets rid of the old racist boomers.

    That’s not how struggles work

  • Jan 14, 2024

Like that type of thinking is exactly how folks were thinking in the 40s, 50s, and 60s.

It is the cycle of history and we can either be left to the sands of time with naught, or we can work towards a future that will be prosperous, even if our names will never be uttered again
