anybody else does this?
my iphone hotspot is hooked up to my macbook for about 1 1/2 years now
How much data u spend on avg in a month? Been thinking about doing this with 100 mega
That seems like such a bleak existence
My friend stopped paying her wifi bill & uses her bf's phone as hotspot for everything. It makes simple s*** like playing music on youtube unnecessarily slow. If we put something on netflix we basically have to wait for the entire movie to buffer first. It made me lowkey hate going over their house.
Hotspot is convenient when you're on the go and just need basic browsing capabilities.
Idk why but the WiFi on my phone is so slow. On my PS4 or PC it’s nice, it’s only slow on my phone, so I just use data at home

what does that mean? (srs)
In America, unlimited data typically entails the network slowing down your speed after you use so much. I believe there are exceptions.

oh no thank god. none of that happens over here. i abuse the data like crazy
I currently do this too, and done for a few years. I have a small mobile hotspot device with its own SIM-card but it’s connected to my current phone bill and phone data plan which has unlimited data. Not the best we can get but my fam been moving a lot and bringing a mobile hotspot with us was much easier than getting new internet contracts with binding periods and all that jazz. Not as good as fiber but it’s more practical for us right now.
how far away are we from this s*** being as free as air or water
That's what Elon Musk is trying to accomplish with his Starlink satellite system
