no one (at least i’m not) is disputing ALL vaccines. i am vaccinated for everything i need to be vaccinated for

but it’s this particular vaccine that makes me hesitant. there’s nothing wrong with that either, considering all we have to go on with this vaccine is confidence from the same people who originally told us masks weren’t necessary, flip flopped and said they are required, and now are saying we should wear two masks

they are just normal people, sure they are professionals but this virus is as unknown to them as it is to us. they are giving us general advice and learning on the fly.

this vaccine is no different. sure the SARS disease has been studied for years, and even though this is similar, it is still different.

How old are you and what’s your education background? Do you understand how the scientific process works? I feel like a lot of your hesitations can be resolved with some critical thinking and a little knowledge on the scientific process and statistics.

They are literal experts in the field w/far more experience than any one of us in regards to this.

The virus is not "as unknown to us as it is to them" they know far more about it than we do.

"Sure they are professionals but..." no that's just it, they are professionals.

The skepticism initially was kind of warranted, but not anymore. The finest professionals in medical academia are advising that we take this vaccine to aid in fighting this. If you want to do your own research, fine but it's clear (IMO) what the reserach will show.

COVID is in the same family as the SARS Virus from 2002 that plagued parts of Asia.

Researchers have been studying coronaviruses for decades. They just finally got the attention and money to actually make it much more impactful. They had a head start already and for scientists, BILLIONS of dollars is a game changer vs the limited resources they formerly had. Not to mention the amount of data that is readily available since millions got it and so many died from it. Other vaccine research that takes 10 years paled in comparison to the money plugged for COVID

The virus wasn't exactly a surprise to scientists, especially the ones that predicted something was coming.

    Like I said...NIGGAS ARE STUPID

ah yes, being hesitant to take a brand new vaccine that’s been giving some people horrible reactions and has no long term data is really stupid

y’all can be the government guinea pigs if y’all want, i’m cool on that

    I trust established science.

just because someone is hesitant of the vaccine, it doesn’t mean they aren’t smart

it’s quite natural to hesitant of a new vaccine where there is no long term data about it

No, the virus has literally killed 600K people in a year.

It is not smart to spread stupid conspiracy theories regarding the medical miracle that is this vaccine.

Especially when the answers to virtually all skepticism regarding the virus are readily available.

Worldwide, it's a small number compared to COVID vaccine.

But talking about 80 million like it's "nobody"? Not true at all

so not many people in usa got h1n1 correct? so why are yall trying to compre that to covid where they are trying to make it mandatory,

Uhhh, i def had to get it lol

The s*** they spray in the nose & the arm thing

And it was required for me to go to mexico too, but i already did it.

Its estimated about 30% of US got it for the early 2010s version, which i was apart of.

The thing about h1n1 being compared is how "fast" the vaccine was made lol, thats all i was talking about. Its final form was made in less than a hear, literally like covid. Thus, covid's vaccine process isnt anything new.

But obviously, Covid vaccine is basically a requirement even moreso than h1n1 because its way more serious & more importantly way faster at spreading than anything else in modern times.

Pfizer says Covid-19 vaccine protection lasts at least six months, protects against variants

    cnn.com/2021/04/01/health/pfizer-covid-vaccine-efficacy-six-months-bn/index.html

this is what i mean about long term data, they are still trying to figure out how long it even lasts
