Covid is worse than flu with more severe symptoms is probably why
My thing about covid is it doesn't seem to be much worse than the flu. Part of what fuels the conspiracies is the fact that the disease isn't THAT deadly yet the whole world shut down over it. Ok the death rate is higher than the flu but the variability in symptom severity is similarly high. not tryna say that the vaccine is unnecessary but if you ask me I think we dodged a bullet, this virus could a been a lot worse and it simply wasn't as bad as we thought it would be

hot pancakesno one (at least i’m not) is disputing ALL vaccines. i am vaccinated for everything i need to be vaccinated for
but it’s this particular vaccine that makes me hesitant. there’s nothing wrong with that either, considering all we have to go on with this vaccine is confidence from the same people who originally told us masks weren’t necessary, flip flopped and said they are required, and now are saying we should wear two masks
they are just normal people, sure they are professionals but this virus is as unknown to them as it is to us. they are giving us general advice and learning on the fly.
this vaccine is no different. sure the SARS disease has been studied for years, and even though this is similar, it is still different.
The vaccine couldn't possibly be any worse than the virus itself in a worst case scenario
As someone who has the virus and has the vaccine I'm not worried about either tbh. Now if I was an at risk population I'd feel differently. But covid barely made me sick

I personally know a 29 year old healthy guy who died. I know other people who have died too.
I know of nobody who has died of the flu. Nobody in my whole life.

Just cause you didn’t have any major symptoms doesn’t mean it’s “not that bad”. I know three people who had issues breathing where taken to the hospital some with pneumonia. One person who’s been asymptomatic. And I have friends who have lost loved ones. Just cause you’ve had the luck of the draw doesn’t mean it’s not that bad
