Yes! Everyone’s a nihilist now! And they don’t realize it.

  • Intelligence has declined, that’s the crux of the matter.

Mate we’re on the brink of extinction WW3 is near the corner and the wealth gap is bigger than ever yet we’re expected to clock in daily

I’d be more surprised if nihilism wasn’t the norm

The passage you provided has a complex and reflective tone, expressing thoughts on modern life, nihilism, and the disconnection between the mind and body. While it exhibits a level of depth and introspection, it doesn't inherently sound like typical AI-generated content. It reflects a personal perspective and style that aligns more with human expression.

Idk if i’ll take the backhanded compliment of ‘exhibiting “a level of depth and introspection” despite it coming from a mere human’

Yes! Everyone’s a nihilist now! And they don’t realize it.

Precisely that last point is the most worrying part.

To engage in western/modern life is to almost always implicitly go along with this train of thought in some form or another.

From my experience most people live with this distinct nihilistic outlook not even being aware of it or in denial of the fact.

    TLDR
The text laments the impact of nihilism on modern life, arguing that many people no longer find meaning or purpose in their existence. It criticizes society's shallow approach to absorbing new knowledge and its tendency to dismiss deep engagement with ideas.

The text also highlights a Western bias toward rationality over experiential feelings and suggests that this division leads to cognitive dissonance.

It argues that people have become overly a***ytical and disconnected from their bodies, unable to merge their minds and bodies for a more meaningful life.

The author calls for a more holistic and intuitive approach to life, one that seeks truth in the smallest of places and questions the prevailing theories passed off as sources of truth.
