I must be in the minority, but the last playstation I had was ps2. Then a 360 and xbox one so this is my first time playing through most of these and I'm getting my money's worth

up until this March, This was the only scenario in which a ps5 was worth buying. It’s only just now starting to get some good games
It's amazing to see people feel this way when the PS4s first couple of years were so much worse. Y'all def didn't have PS4s at launch
this gen is weird because of how delayed it was by about 2-3 years because it was a pain in the ass to get one and the casual audience that makes the most money for these companies didn't care
we've been in an eternal cross-gen transition period that went by quickly in previous gens

Right, I didn’t play video games at all through the PS4 so I got all these modern classics from that console to play through, most running at a clean 60 frames

Yea the ps4 gen took so f***in long to hit a good stride .
Then it ended up becoming one of my favorite consoles ever. I just hope we can get a few more amazing ps5 games before this gen ends

Im saying, for the longest it was infamous second son machine lmao with no backcompat
At this point I'm only considering a PS5 for FF7 Rebirth and maybe Tekken 8. A whole console for just two games is really not at all worth the investment though.
Idk about everyone else but I personally don’t regret buying a PS5. I upgraded from a base PS4 so being able to play games in 60fps was a HUGE deal for me and I can’t even imagine trying to play anything on PS4 anymore. The Dualsense, load times and visuals are a big plus as well for me
Deadass I been thinking about copping a New 2DS XL for SMT IV and to hack it and get a bunch of GBA, Genesis, and SNES games. I think I've reached that point where a lotta new games really do not move me whatsoever.
I will never own a computer for gaming..I understand if you had 1 before you lost the V and so just kept at it , but for us folks that get p****, it's really not an option..

I did. First 2 years were dogshit but then we got Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, Until Dawn, The Last Guardian, Persona 5, Nier Automata, etc. for years 3 and 4.
PS5 is cooked as f*** and the fact we are overshadowed mostly right now with lazy sequels and remakes is a summary of the dying video game industry as a whole

Not gonna lie, i'd say its worth for tekken 8

that was just 1.5 years tho. Not in their 4th.
PS5 got trash games so far and nothing coming out.
PS4 lads were fed yearly since 2015 (the second year of PS4) and had games like Spiderman, Last of Us 2, Uncharted, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima coming out yearly.
PS5 is already cooked with all these games. Most of them were garbage and or playable on the PS4. Genuinely a garbage console and honestly never seen somebody own a ps5

And PS5 launched hot with Miles Morales and Demon's Souls, then had Returnal, Ratchet and Clank, Ragnarok, Horizon, FF16, Spiderman 2, and smaller quality titles like Kena Bridge of Spirits, Sifu, Astro Bot
They just dropped the hottest multiplayer game out and have 3 exclusives dropping back to back. The only thing that sucks is first party output won't pickup until 2025

Third party games exist and they run better on a ps5 than a ps4 on modern displays and frankly thats what most people care about.
It's still the best blanket answer to give someone if they wanna game on the couch
Also, the ps5 has sold like 50 mil consoles, it's not exactly struggling its just not reaching sony's lofty expectations, If you haven't seen a ps5 in person u dont go out often//go to locals/ hell even play s*** like 2k with ur homies
