Yes, nothing can beat Sonys run in the last years of the PS4, but I think they did a good job keeping up the momentum.

Combination of a lot of factors. Xbox being ass at having games means Sony isn't pressed. Sony focuses on cinematic experiences means games take an ass long to develop because muh graphics. COVID supply chains f***ed the world. This is also the first time back to back consoles are fully compatible from a design stand point because Sony streamlined their design, where as the PS3 had weird architecture, this means games can be designed for both consoles even though it likely ends up making the ps5 version not as strong as it could've been. GAAS got developers creaming themselves trying to make the next fortnite and end up making mediocre garbage. Speaking of Fortnite, that and Warzone and Apex all got developers tied up making endless content for those games rather than making new ones.

But I think in retrospect by like 2028 we'll see how much COVID really affected delayed development because I think a lot of games that were gonna drop like 2021-24 likely got pushed back.

2 of those are vaporware and the rest are TBA. Half of those TBA ones will probably launch with ps5

this gen just feels like an in between gen or something.

i still got hope tho cause the ps4 was a little slow to start but the second half of the console was really great

ps5 pro hasn’t even dropped yet, there’s still many years of games to come lol
