Last I checked his page the only essential album was Take Care.

I mean the rap was weaker on this album but HLB, Controlla and One Dance alone are iconic enough that I can see it. Then you got the rest of the Non-rap stuff.

i mean yeah but i think it's strange to justify an essential album based off sales alone. also for future his only essential is DS2 when like the entirety of 2014-2016 was a huge hotstreak for him

More Life doesn’t hold a candle to views. A lot of the tracks are forgettable (Portland? Glow?). It’s a playlist and doesn’t really flow like an album, especially not views. It does have some of his greatest tracks (passionfruit, DND).

More life is like IYRTITL. People are obsessed with hyping up side-projects to downplay views

This is so false. More Life has WAY BETTER transitions than Views and flows better. His rapping on More Life >>>>>>> Views. The dancehall/tropical songs on More Life >>>>>> the ones on Views. The features are also generally better.

I feel like More Life was Drake's take at perfecting Views. It doesn't take anything away from how good an album Views is. I just think More Life improves in all the places Views lacked and that makes it an even better project.

More Life should definitely be essential as well.
