so you arent a prison aboltionist then.

Prison abolition doesn't mean that psychos don't get removed from society lol

It means there won't be prison for non-violent "crime", a critical evaluation of what led to a violent crime being committed which will lead to only sadistic maniacs or mindless s***heads being locked up instead of people caught in cyclical violence or some other larger sociological context. And that the "prisons" that will exist thereafter won't be slave labor camps that treat inmates like animals but keep them away from society

We can't let people like this walk the streets lol. Like prison abolition isn't for Jeffrey Dahmer, Harvey Weinstein, Viper, etc. Could care less if those guys get death tbh

When did I say I was opposed to them being removed from society? I believe in rehabilitation instead of punishment. I never said he should be reintroduced to society. You don’t pick and choose if you believe in Prison for certain people, if you abolish a system that means for everyone.

    Angela Davis “Are Prisons Obsolete”

An abolitionist approach that seeks to answer questions such as these would require us to imagine a constellation of alternative strategies and institutions, with the ultimate aim of removing the prison from the social and ideological landscapes of our society. In other words, we would not be looking for prisonlike substitutes for the prison, such as house arrest safeguarded by electronic surveillance bracelets. Rather, positing decarceration as our overarching strategy, we would try to envision a continuum of alternatives to imprisonment—demilitarization of schools, revitalization of education at all levels, a health system that provides free physical and mental care to all, and a justice system based on reparation and reconciliation rather than retribution and vengeance. The creation of new institutions that lay claim to the space now occupied by the prison can eventually start to crowd out the prison so that it would inhabit increasingly smaller areas of our social and psychic landscape.

Im just consistent, I don’t believe that we should torture this nigga unlike other itt. We should seek to understand the human condition and what makes people like Viper. This doesn’t mean I feel sympathy for him though this type of s*** does come from people who were also abused and exposed to terrible things in his environment. Hurt people hurt people, we should break the cycle.

I would honestly rather not have this conversation in this Thread because of the topic matter but i feel like replies don’t understand what im saying.

Yeah its fine to think that lmao. The guy probably did some of the most heinous and terrible s*** ever. Personally I think if he was executed I wouldn’t feel a way. Just want his due process or if an inmate kills him.

Given the history I don’t think anyone should accept as gospel anything a white woman has to say about a black man

I’ve seen s*** like this (obviously no where near this level) play out irl too

Not saying he didn’t do it and if he did he should be punished accordingly but I’m also not going to categorically say he did if our only source of information at this point is a white woman

What would you call inmates making license plates or other textile goods for 50 cents an hour? Under violent conditions and possible rape?

She's not the only source of info:

'A neighbor told police they never actually saw anything going on at the home, but from conversations with Carter, they believed there may have been illegal activity happening in the house.

They were actually at my door talking to me when a gal came clawing out of that window that you see barricaded up,” said Jedediah Beights.

The neighbor told police they believed there may have been human trafficking or that p*** may have been being made with the women at the home.

“All of it gave me a red flag,” Beights said. “Everything from day one was a red flag. He didn’t do anything that wasn’t a red flag.”

At one point, Carter actually told Beights about the women who he kept inside the home.

“He had just kind of explained that, um, he had some girls that were in there, and he never used the word locked up, but, um, he was kind of protecting them from themselves,” he said. “From the sounds of things, she would call him his boyfriend. Her boyfriend. So, I mean, it was kind of a mutual weirdness, I guess.”'
