13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim looks great although its more of a rts/adventure but has elements of VN. need it to come to PC !

Umineko next?

I was gonna mention to read Rei if you hadn't already. Thought the ending to that was better than the regular ending. Not that it was bad by any means, but I was expecting a lot more lol. Guess the mystery wasn't the main aspect of it past like ep 5 or 6, so I can kinda get the ending not being more "eventful".

Haven't checked out the console arcs or anime (heard Sotsu is awful lol). I just picked up Rei once the 07th mod came out for it and then I called it there.

Those two are by far my favorites of any media (the Trails/Kiseki series is definitely up there as well), though I'm sure there's something out there you'd enjoy. Guess it depends on what you're looking for. I really enjoyed Higurashi and the Utawarerumono series and both are really highly regarded.

I'm looking forward to this being released next week. The demo for it was great.

Yeah regular ending was whatever, I did enjoy the action parts though unlike AINI, VNs always seem to lose steam at the end for some reason

For Umineko, I think Umineko Project is the "definitive" one, but I was more than fine with 07th mod. I prefer the translation they use since the UP one doesn't seem as literal, though it legit doesn't matter. I'm sure I'd be saying the opposite if I used UP lol. It is pretty crazy how much freedom they had with Higurashi. I did not expect all of the options/features in that after reading Umineko.
