not at all good sir. how has your life directly been impacted?

His tariffs are already raising costs as global sourcing is adjusted, and may kill my company if prolonged.

I also face hostility from foreign firms like I've never experienced before, limiting their willingness to negotiate. I have one deal going sideways right now due to a lack of appetite to work in our unstable environment, and another we cancelled due to legal risk.

Business thrives on good policy, but requires a level of certainty. The erratic nature of Trump has hindered both.

“Cant survive” lmao niggas actually don’t care about policy they just care about rhetoric.

If we couldn’t survive 8 years of Trump how did we survive 8 years of Obama? Stop pretending these administrations have any grandiose differences. It’s all optics, realistically much of the same s*** has been going on in that building for decades and neither Trump nor Biden will be the one who changes things around. Especially not Biden.

facts. american politics are more entertainment than most people would like to admit. the system is designed to be so gridlocked that change is extremely slow and in tiny increments.

the “major” issues of trump occurred under Obama as well. Obama deported more immigrants than Trump has, the same police brutality riots and tense race relations were occurring during Obama’s term (exacerbated by the media,) climate change was still an issue on the back-burner.

people just like to feel important and imagine that they’re part of key points of history. we’re not, you’re not living thru the great battle of American history, you’re living thru the easiest, most privileged time in American history.

Obama presidency was terrible but there were massive competency differences between each administration

If COVID doesn’t kill you you’re immune system becomes stronger and decreases the odds you get it again

Trump or any future president will need to ensure the nation is better equipped for a viral pandemic of even bio warfare

i mean he didn't change his strategy, didn't build bridges with the establishment and the media, and expected to win solely on grassroots support. and personally, his platform caters way too much to white millenial postgrads

the way i saw the primaries was that biden was the predecided candidate by the party and bloomberg was the backup should biden have flopped in the first 4 states. also a tryout for kamala harris and amy whatshername for vp.

yeah they arguably became complacent around certain issues so weren't prepared for what happened in South Carolina.

At the end of the day there were still successes, we could look back and see that his campaign built the foundation for a future stronger left in the party.

how did we adapt? COVD can repeatedly infect patients and even those with mild cases are seeing extensive lung and heart tissue damage

every treatment for the disease is still in the thousands for the sake of profit

  • Jul 1, 2020

"There's no difference between administrations, it's just optics" keeps being repeated, and it's always fundamentally wrong, but I don't think people understand that optics do matter in terms of national pride and international affairs.

Trump is even beginning to lose old white motherfuckers because he's such an intolerable a******. Watch any interview with some pale wrinkly racist reporters pull aside. They always preface their s*** with "I wish he wouldn't tweet so much" or "I wish he was a little nicer about things."

S*** adds up after four years. You can't just do and say whatever you want without consequence, cute as the sentiment was 4 years ago.

Social distancing will become the norm

Outside events (outdoor movies) will become normalized

    Mask wearing will become normalized

Plexy glass will not be coming down

Collaborative office spaces will be a thing of the past enter Teams/WebEx

    Virtual concerts

Shall I go on? Everyone will not die from this

Obama administration would have probably failed on some accounts (like economic response I'd imagine) but even things like having some pandemic planning in place like Obama did would have helped a lot. It's the same thing in the UK, our current party of government have been in since 2010 and dismantled the pandemic planning of the previous government as an 'efficiency saving'. So that alone would have helped a lot. You wouldn't have been starting from scratch then

we could have continued living the way we always did if we just followed social distancing for the first few months my guy

New Zealand is already opened up completely and none of these restrictions exist, these restrictions would only exist in the case of a geographical entity being unable to correctly contain a disease

Please do not take the effects of COVID for granted because it doesn't personally affect you (which it easily could). This pandemic has caused a loss of life the likes of which we have never seen in recent history, and it has to clear end in near sight. Why do you think re-closures are taking place now?

    Just something to think about
