I think alot of JT hate comes from loser types tbh
This is like blaming men for Chris Brown still being popular
But Prince started the whole thing
Ok and Prince didn't like him but the idiot out of all artists decided to do the Prince Tribute in superbowl. It's a spit on Prince's grave
A few reasons I can think of
1. This is no longer the age of traditional media, so they can't force feed us white artists that borrow heavily from black culture without audiences providing context and critique.
2. Britney Spears drama
3. The Black community might never forgive him for Janet Jackson.
Personally, I don't like him because he was talking sideways to Prince.
The prince posthumous superbowl performance when he should have declined because of their beef
When he went for an all lives matter angle during the height of black lives matter
Liking this tweet taking the piss out of Janet's misfortune
He eventually apologised in 2021 after this hate
This idea that he started getting hate because of man of the woods is completely wrong. It deffo added to it but it was boiling up way before that.
This is a dude who profited off black music but still takes the sideline and white attitude whenever he wishes
I don't necessarily hate him but I can see why people have a huge problem with him
Some Britney Spears drama I had no idea was going on lol. I think she said something in her book or whatever and deranged pop fans went full barbz or some. The other tweet is just the average mf trying to farm some engagement. Legit if they got their pronouns on their name I don't even look twice lmao.
Crying at the last sentence.

I feel like Mac was the only white guy in the industry who could be trusted
It’s just the climate, feel like robin thicke poppin off & his trajectory …& even a guy like Post Malone’s trajectory are all related in how he’s received now, culminating with that country album
This is like blaming men for Chris Brown still being popular
Nahh Chris brown is popular cos of brainless insta thots and dumb f*** boys. Also his music aight sometimes
Why would he do this? The only people checking for a new Jay album in 2024 are white women and he done phased them off

That’s what I’m saying. He’s still popular because of women. JT hate is mostly from women. They hate him cause the Janet s*** and the Britney s***
The world would better off without Twitter
no twitter is like a containment sxn. let those ppl stay stuck on the app 😭
This all started with the reception to Man of the Woods tbh and because of that, people brought up the Janet incident and it snowballed from there
i think he got away w the janet sht bc he was the man back in the day. gen z learned abt that incident fairly recently tho, way after dude stepped out of the limelight. plus gen z tends to take sexual sht way more seriously than millennials, to a point where ppl think the janet incident has rapey vibes.
millennials thought "yo he's so cool lets get beers and look at janet jackson's nips on my dvr"
gen z just thinks he's a weird creepy white guy
the controversy of the janet and britney stuff caught up with him and the music in the second half of his career was simply not up to snuff to cancel it out
three classics will cut you some slack but he absolutely lost the sauce after 20/20 Pt. 1 and never really addressed those women/being a wigger for half of his career until it was too late and the zoomers had already moved on

1. Prince started the beef so nobody should have a problem with JT clapping back. And Prince was dead by that point with JT performing in Minnesota. Just because you got beef with somebody doesn't mean you can't recognize their influence and importance to music. Silly ass reason to dislike someone over this.
2. I don't even think this is an All Lives Matter slogan. This was a response to someone trying to call him a culture vulture when he was standing in solidarity with BLM. I see nothing wrong with this response. It's mature and classy unlike these dogshit haters.
3. Janet was joking about the Superbowl after 2 months. Why can't JT joke about it also? JT also wanted to stand up for Janet after it happened and she told him not to because she didn't want him risking his young solo career for her. Janet also a couple years ago in a documentary said to leave her and JT alone over the whole situation. If anyone deserves s*** about the Superbowl incident, its Les Moonves and the american media and public for judging her so hard. Not Justin for an accident.
4. As for the culture vulture allegations, this is the stupidest thing I have ever seen in my life. Why do Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, and countless others get a pass for using black artists as props in their music to appeal to pop culture? Unlike 99% of the artists in the pop genre, Justin actually writes and makes music with his black producers outside of his own music. He actually routinely cosigns, collaborates, and gives new black artists opportunities and a higher platform. Most pop stars just use rappers and black artists as props. Justin was highly dedicated to giving back to the artists that helped him with his sound. He is the last thing in the world from a cultural appropriator.

This will turn into a back and forth I have no energy to go through it because I don't really care but that tweet is the definition of all lives matter rhetoric like wtf. It's easy to spin stuff the other way. Like I said before he has problematic actions which is why I can see people hate him
It’s really not
Have you listened to
Higher Higher
Montana
Breeze Off The Pond
Midnight Summer Jam
Sauce
Supplies
Wave
No way you’ve listened with an open ear and came to that conclusion
I have. I enjoyed Supplies at the time, but coming back to it, it’s a terrible album.

NFL made him. His dumbass should’ve addressed the Janet s*** though.
