Just wanted to have some conversation about Let's start here. It really is a great record, and it gave me alot more appreciation for lil yachty as an artist.

For some reason though I see alot of people downplaying how good it was, just wanted to see other people opinions.

I personally think it was terrible and that lil yachty's performance on his own album was horrible

For most he was carried by the productjon i assume, but even that didn't do anything for me

People here were showing it tons of love

I just don't get how you couldn't like it man, it's so peaceful and vibey.

I would say he and the production paired together well to make something unique.

I think he ended up making what he was trying to, but that thing is already very bad imo

i liked it a lot honestly completely forgot it dropped if im being honest . will revisit

his s***ty vocals are endearing & swaggy . similar effect to pharrell being charming & relatable doing poverty falsetto

it soinds like he's singing along with someone elses song but it works nicely . a lot of things on this album couldve went so so wrong but he did good

it really shines through on here how much of an earnest music enjoyer he is & that's beautiful . some artists sound like they resent making music & actively show discontent for their audience on record & this is the opposite of that without being corny or anything .

it feels like a kid that's getting to star in their favourite tv shows for a while, flipping between pages of a scrapbook of things he likes -its cute!

Usually respect ur music takes but this is a bunch of baloney to me

Great album

He melds his sound the trippy and at times minimal production, and not only succeeds in that but creates a believable new identity for himself. I still come back to it pretty regularly

i think thats a valid take & really i could see myself thinking the same thing depending on my mood

With what you said in the next post yeah, it shows that he has a diverse ear and isn't just locked into one portion of music he listens to good s*** of all genres

haven’t come back to the album much. from my impressions, yachty’s vocals work for a select few tracks but overall feels disjointed from the production. but i do think yachty should get props for experimenting and will watch for his next album
