Yeah they actually can only win since even if they die in battle they'll be laughing until the end
This bit is precious warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Tuska
Word is there could be potentially another War of Beasts tier event underway but that still falls on GW (still imperium biased smh). Really wish the ip would follow what the Warhammee Fantasy is doing rn

Recently learned about The Farsight Enclaves, you know if they got any books that I can cop to read?

This the one
We are entering the endgame in mere days (perhaps the infinity war bc this is a two parts release)
i really wanna get into warhammer stuff
i’ve played a couple of the video games
watched some videos the lore seems crazy
i just don’t know which video games i should play that are the best
If your into this thing I’m looking at you funny
Still time to rethink this before the 40K cinematic universe drops

Until they drop a Total War version I'd say nothing worthwhile has came out since the DoW 1 & 2
Space Marine 2 is dropping this year, should be a solid title since the first 1 is widely enjoyed, it's just basic fun shooter and hack and slash though so don't expect too high
If you enjoy the rts games the modding community has some great stuff for DoW 1 and they still active to this day
Out now !
still on book 2 got a long way to go
Did you read all the books?

I started from the Siege of Terra. I might read a couple more but def not the entire series, it's like 50 books not sure if that covers the side stuff too
Rn I'm more invested in the end times stuff
I wanted to get into the books, but man ngl it’s a daunting task, and the scale of the universe is so big picking where you wanna start is intimidating. I haven’t really read glowing reviews for the various books, only a small handful which doesn’t really inspire the investment it would take to get into these. So I’ve been content with YouTube lore videos. Maybe one day I’ll get to it…
Part 3, the conclusion has finally arrived. I can't truly fathom the excitement for this bc there are readers that have waited for this for decades, I only started getting into this quite recent. Anyways I love 40k man and I hope I can personally contribute to this hobby someday
what’s the best book i should read that will get me more invested like i said earlier in the thread i’ve just played some of the games and watched videos @wheatley

For something like an all time classic it has to be the Eisenhorn series. It revolves around the Inquisitors, a branch of the Imperium which is like the human faction in the universe. Widely praised and loved, ez recommend
Another great one is the Night Lords trilogy. The Night Lords are former loyalists of Imperium who turned traitor, these guys have major Spawn vibes, and the MC is really interesting. The author Aaron Dembski-Bowden is the GOAT at writing flawed characters
Now to talk about Horus Heresy + Siege of Terra books. I don't recommend reading the books. This series has spanned decades, there's like 50 books written by many authors, it has too many cooks problem. Let's not mention the number of retcons done throughout. Still though it's good to familiarize with this timeline because many things in the universe references the events that happens during this story. It's 40K's telling of Jesus. But a lot more fun and rich with iconic characters and great bits. This timeline is where many considers 40K 'peaking'
Talking about rich 40K is a really rich universe. It's shameless about copying from other popular fictions (LOTR, Battlestar, Aliens) but that's also kinda how it has the edge over other settings. I first got my start hearing about the T'aus, an alien faction that use battlesuits which is just ironman suits lol and the scale gets bigger and they have stuff the size of Gundam mechs. And once I learn more about them I hear about the Farsight Enclaves, a group that denies the core teaching of their race and f***s off somewhere else and establish their own region. Their leader, Farsight is also a lot like space samurai and dude has lived for so long because he has a sword that feeds on soul, the wacky thing though is that dude only suspects its the sword and never confirms it. Many also unsure if the guy is still alive bc T'aus have a whole shenanigans about keeping dead people appear alive through holograms. See that kind of chain of information is what makes 40K so appealling to me. It's a treasure trove, keep digging deeper and you keep finding more. A lot of the factions and their lore are already established thanks to the decades of writings from many people
i didnt know ktt mfs where into warhammer
anyone into MTG?
Nicol Bolas seems like a really cool dude/dragon, I fw him. Over all though never really got into the lore though when I played it

I read the reccomended minimal reading order until I got to Know No Fear.. I was iffy on it at the beginning and though t it would be the worst one because of the narrative structure but it quickly blew me away, the fast pace and nonstop action I couldnt stop reading. It became my favourite book on par with the first trilogy. I finished it in like 3 days, I went on to read Betrayer and knew I had to take a break because nothing is going to be like Know No Fear 😔
Im thinking of going for Unremembered Empire and just skipping to Siege of Terra

Master of Mankind is a divisive but very critical entry, I would recommend that too. Buried Dagger is also a good read about Mortarion and it's right before the Siege of Terra books. John French is one of their better writers
Siege of Terra overall is a decent read cause we are entering endgame from here and they already figured out how to wrap things from there. There's this giant tease that they dropped into these books and I absolutely love it
