A bad joke about being gay/having AIDS

    I have heard worse

One of the dumbest decisions i ever seen on an mainstream album

He did try to forgive Drake infact Drake even said he didn't want too so nah he did try and love everybody there

Again the disrespect from Snoop, Soulja Boy and plenty of rappers have been far worse than anything Drake has ever said and he let it slide…So you can’t pick and choose when you wanna be Mr. “Let’s Love Everyone”, if that’s his stance than be consistent with it. That’s all I’m all saying.

Especially if you willing to go as far as ignoring a rapist/abusers past. I would rather ignore a corny sneak diss.

    It was a Kanye move.

Put Jack White on it instead and you’re looking at a solid 72 Metacritic

there was a brief moment after the second listening party when people seemed to love him again

it's not putting people off the music though, even if he's less popular with critics

whatever the consequences, it's still a stupid, desperate thing to do. that I don't think he needed to do. it probably lost more interest than it gained

    I don’t think it was

Feel like adding Manson was just to piss people off. I’m sure there’s other accused rapists he could’ve had. Probably went with Manson because he likes him. He sampled him on Black Skinhead and Uzi and Travis mess with him heavy. Killed his part too. If you expect Kanye not to do stuff like this idk what to tell you

  • Sep 2, 2021

    Does Kanye even care?

  • Sep 2, 2021

    Socially yes

thematically it kinda makes sense and is actually kind of interesting

he allegedly originally wanted to have Trump on stage with him. imagine he had Trump, Manson, and DaBaby all just on stage there

    Where did you hear that?

Love his contribution to Jail pt 2 but nah probably wasn’t the best move

    Where did you hear that?

have found a few different places reporting it

    radaronline.com/p/kanye-west-asked-donald-trump-to-come-donda-event-dababy-kim-kardashian-marilyn-manson

a lot of them seem to cite the above (such as below):

    revolt.tv/news/2021/9/1/22652313/kanye-west-invited-donald-trump-donda-event

    yahoo.com/entertainment/kanye-west-asked-trump-join-181100075.html

but i think akademiks posted about it on IG a few days ago with a different source other than radar

Yeah, I think with the Manson and DaBaby moment Kanye kind of let his impulses get in the way of what he was originally trying to do. I think this was supposed to be a “make em like you” album after a lot of making everyone unlike him, so he got restless in the 3rd cycle but I guess it’s good that he had the sense to leave it off the core album. Still it’s one of the hardest parts to reconcile with the album, doesn’t seem like something that should be related to the Donda project

  • Sep 2, 2021

Its provocative, it gets the people

    DONDA = Love Everyone

    Not to be confused with

    Everything Is Love

  • Sep 2, 2021

Imo the critics that gave Donda a bad review because of Manson were always going to give it a bad review because they just don’t fw Kanye as a person.

Because they’re the type of critics that have trouble separating an artist from their art.

    very bad move

  • Sep 2, 2021

Seeing critics and twitter seeth so much over that and the album still doing so well commercially is so satisfying in a weird way. It just show them mfs can't control or cancel s***.
