Wayno says Lil Wayne is a "Way Better Rapper Than 2Pac"

Not even being a d***, but it’s natural for someone’s influence and impact to sky rocket after death. So comparing current living rappers impact to someone that has passed especially in Pac’s case is never going to be an even comparison, especially under the mythos of what he became after his death.

That's only true for the short term though. But, for a rapper to still be famous and revered DECADES AFTER his death like Pac, he had to be something special when he was alive.

Pac's music was/is very personal and vulnerable which made him relatable to masses of people. There was always a strong sense of humanity to Pac's music. And yeah...Scarface and others were the same way but that's one of the reasons why Pac's legacy is still so revered today.

And he was still a great rapper/poet while being able to incorporate that element.

Big L, Big Pun, Mac Dre, Pimp C, Eazy E, etc. could've had a bigger post-death legacy than Pac but there's a reason why they don't.

What impact on the world did he have? Genuine question btw.

    See post below.

Yeah he might of blown up 100x more after he passed away. That doesn't change the fact how impactful his music is/was.

And not only his music. He spoke for his people. University teach children of tupac, history books speak of him.
100s off rappers have passed away since his death and none of em are or will be remebered the same way 2pac is.

I can bet you a million dollars, if the biggest star of our generation (drake) died. We would mourn him then forget about him within a few years.

There are CULTS of people refusing to accept 2pacs death. He was like the second coming of Jesus. Conspiracy after conspiracys spiraled after his death. Mans a legend

All that stuff you mentioned while he was alive is not some overboard impactful thing over every other rapper sorry.

So why don't Big L, Big Pun, Eazy E, Mac Dre, Pimp C, and J Dilla have a bigger legacy than Pac?

This is technically true but I think the more interesting question is: who’s the better vocalist? These two are some of the best mic performers in hiphop history so that’s kinda tough for me

None of them were never as big as Pac was when he was alive. Not an apples to apples comparison.

Dudes hear Pac but don't really listen

This song, for example, is a technical masterpiece. Alliteration at its finest in rap(notice use of words that start with P throughout the song)
"They say p**** and paper is poetry, power and pistols"

Because Pac had lot of impact when he was alive. He was all over the news for his "Thug Life" persona, beefs with other rappers, court cases, having Delores C Tucker coming for him, etc.

And his music was/is so strong that it still inspires people today. DMX(RIP) and 50 Cent wouldn't even be who they were if it weren't for Pac to name a few.

But there's still rappers that have more impact and influence then him when he was alive that's currently living.

  • It’s wild seeing pac turn into an underrated rapper almost in the last few years. Idk if it’s because of all the trolling that happened back in the 00’s but it’s crazy to see the tables turn.
