Odd Future and Tumblr made everyone want to be fake weird.

Well list some songs if you have heard it.

There's literally one song (you should see me in a crown) that debatably has trap production

    The rest don't

i really don't think much of anything peep did from cybaby on could be categorized as hip hop.

also like someone else said there were still some hip hop elements to production but for the most part it's more alt/emo than anything.

This decade. By 2030 a new genre will be considered the “biggest in the world”

It will still be around. But it will no longer be as popular

They said the same thing before hip hop became as big as it was

Whatever genre is born from hip hop will be the new biggest

Nah I love hip hop and how experimental it is, I know it has a wide range

What I’m saying is, the sub genre that’s born from it will take it over

Kinda how jazz, blues, and funk birthed hip hop, something will be birthed from hip hop that becomes bigger than it

I mean would we call jazz blues and funk hip hop?

Hip hop isn’t a sub genre of that music, but it came from it

I’m expecting the same thing to happen this decade

Exactly my point except you explained it better than me

I predict in 2030 there will be a new dominant genre

Not really sure, but I don’t think anyone could have predicted what hip hop would sound like either.

I do think we’ll see a huge shift on the music/beat side. I don’t think we’ll see much of a change in the vocal aspect. I expect we’ll see a continuation of singing

Probably for the best tbh. The artform will be better without all the culture vultures and people trying to make a quick buck
