the hype songs on mr morale don’t do it for me and out of the (majority) contemplative ones united in grief and the heart part 5 struck me
i’d rather hear drake rap the same s*** then hear kendrick rap over a lot of the more radio friendly joints on morale
Don't think there's anything Kendrick does as a rapper that's superior to Drake or that Drake has shown he can't do.
I don't think the inverse is true though.
Because it didn't end up being drake's song.
How come all the producers got credits on RICO but not QM? Why is he conveniently left off the credits?
You're right, they're not close. Drake makes trendy cookie cutter radio songs while Kendrick makes art.

Who knows, That doesn't have anything to do with Drake though.
QM talked about how this song came to be on Rory and Mal. It's meek and his team's job to turn in the album with the proper credits, etc.
Meek was hot that QM didn't write for him which is why he didn't list him. Meek asked QM like 3x and offered straight up cash

You think Jack Harlow had a top 10 album in 2020. Don't talk to me about music.

I remember Kendrick when I saw him for his Overly Dedicated show at the El Rey back in the day.
He was the one.
It's a shame that as his career has grown and got longer in the tooth, he's become kind of a caricature of his image. He used to have the perfect balance of pop appeal and substance.
Cut You Off, P**** and Patron, The whole Section 80 and Good Kiid.
sigh.
I think it's obvious that the Middle of the Ocean type records or the Too Much type records he does blindfolded and needs very little on those.
It's the records with the unique flows and cadences that IMO (based on what he and others have alluded to) that he works in collaboration with.

He just goes further and further left to me.
Remember "She Needs Me?"

My man Kendrick would be a boring ass artist if he just made Section.80 and GKMC for the rest of his career. I’m glad he got “weird”.

I still think he's great and has great moments, but the listenability factor has kind of fallen off of a cliff.
I f*** with Kendrick but yeah when Drake wants to rap he can do it with the best of them fr
Yea you def rught same s*** when kendrick set the record for dropping 81 spots, s*** got to like 100 pages. Drake did the same thing n it got locked 😹
