this song is crazy it was unknown to the fanbase for ever until it came out, apparently rivers himself forgot they worked on it it wasn’t quite finished so he stitched up with some studio magic you can hear a bit of his newer voice on it but it’s for the best, turned it into an amazing songs that makes you how have ppl lived so long without this gem

Yeah I heard something like that, on-off relationship or something. I always wondered if Rivers denounced her after Elliott died, I know it's a controversial take, but she definitely was involved in his death. Whether it was intentional or not idk.

these songs are demoed it’s from the songs from the black hole project the space rock opera intended before being scratched in favor of pinkerton, if you’ve never heard of it there’s all the demos by rivers of the project out - or there’s a fanmade recording of it to give you a full idea of what it could’ve been with female singers singing all the roles intended for the female (the only one we ever got close to officially is I just threw away the love of my dreams with rachel singing her part)

it’s a shame tho bc blast off is one of rivers best song

they played it live a few times tho with each band mmembers singing their parts attributed to the roles so at least we got that

but they never recorded band version of these abandonned songs so idk what discogs is referring to

so the concept behind the blue album wasn’t to make a blue album perse

in fact it was never referenced as the blue album until the green album was a thing, it was referenced as self titled

the original idea behind was that rivers had this super random pretty obscure (prolly got it cos it’s prolly worth cheap dirt) beach boys compilation on cassette titled do it again:

i forgot what rivers said about it id have to look it up but he loved the photo used for the cover and wanted to have a modern spin to it, redo that but without the matching gimmick just casual dressing and there it was: blue background with them on the front

they apparently did attempt a first photo shoot with matching stripped shirts too tho, wish they would release that would be fun to see

i heard a few songs from songs from the black hole comp/project, it's been on my list for years, but i never got around to it. i never seen those song titles before, weird. i think a review was just noting the unreleased songs if the studio version doesn't exist

i don’t think rivers would be like that, he’s the sweetest heart and has a personal relation with her so he wouldn’t act this way i feel, if anything him writing the other way after the news is any indication on how he feels about it

yoo I got scared I thought you were saying I had a tendency of blaming the gf in these situations, I was gonna ask for some examples lol.

Anyway, I was about to say the Courtney Love accusations are ridiculous if you read a little about it, but deleted the comment. Only reason I think Jennifer had a part of his death is that his suicide wounds aren't natural at all, and suicide by a knife is incredibly rare. Let me say though even if it was unintentional I wouldn't blame her, freak accidents happen, even in extreme cases. If she had no part I would feel deeply regrettable

noo not you just like in general I guess. Like not even just deaths by suicide.

Like for example after the Dr Dre thing that just happened today (obviously he didn't die but it still shows what I mean) the first thing some people did was get mad at his wife. Or like with Mac Miller people attacked Ariana Grande.
