End Of Game grew a lot on me, it’s a blast now, Hero was instant love, so wholesomeness

So far it’s interesting because the album has a simple mission, obviously the 80s homage (Van Halen title reference but also there’s a song on it that apparently sampled an Ozzy Osbourne riff) so it sounds real fun but yet unique in how I hear different Weezer in it and some new stuff to it too

I feel like the rest of the album will have crazy over the top material, as it should be, but also some interesting stuff 🤔

Blue album a classic

I love how Rivers in Hero video is channeling 14yo Rivers:

I’d recommend to listen to the deluxe to all those 3 albums

Aaahh well I like Blue, Pink, White and Pacific Daydream (yes blasphemy among stans) all the same, they both have the same amount of rotation and love from me, no skips either

Weezer sure have highs and lows but an incredible run rn as solid as their 90s one like no other bands from their time are doing, what a comeback

But i’d say ultimately Blue takes the cake for the number one spot, that I know for sure! as where I would rank the other ones behind not as sure lol

In honor of Charli XCX amazing new album, let’s take it back to her criminally underrated pop gem debut album “Sucker” released in 2014 with this highlight “Hanging Around” written mainly by Rivers Cuomo.

I recall before doing this album she wanted to drop something more Ramones infused so maybe this is how they linked? I don’t know, surely they clicked on their love for Japan tho!

Anyway what I know is that Rivers said how she wanted a Beverly Hills type song and as you listen to this, it’s very easy to tell he gave her what she wanted, same beat, same guitar attack, Joan Jett style.

You can actually hear Rivers in the song as he’s the one doing the male harmonies you hear.
