yeah weezer were known as a rock band when they started bc it was the scene back then and they’re hold onto that in that regard but they were always about the melodies and hooks and thru out the history of music scenes and their progression into that that’s what always kept weezer what it is - how infectious and instant it is
never serious s*** but always smartly crafted with great skills and knowledge, diverse and fun
In other words they're good musicians
If they can navigate decades making music like that
(kind of feel like they're underrated but idk 🤔)

they’re super underrated bc they aren’t following the same trajectory as the other 90s act to stick to rock and save it they’re just doing what they want and so get lotta hate for it by their fanbase or elitist haters (which some have posted itt - type of ppl who think highly of themselves and too good for weezer simple formula of hooks despite it being intelligently crafted) that’s why im on a mission
Top 4 he said
disagree tbh and kinda hate that it’s so easy for weezer to pull it off for these kind of fans to fall into that - oh it’s orchestra so it’s more of what should be perceived as mature and serious music so it’s flat out goated
but still amazing at what it aimed and a top album - you gotta be crazy to completely right off pd
Gotta listen to Jacked Up and Dead Roses back to back.
are tht that related or similar or is it due to the flowers theme

Emotionally they feel related and they serve a similar placement and function for their respective albums and yeah of course the dying flower theme.

On Bird with a broken wing
Like to love p much every song so far (besides mirror image, das a skip) but aside from the single, my favs so far are Numbers, Grapes of Wrath and Screens

oddly enough unlike some other weezer albums i feel this single lives up great pass the album experience, it still goes imo and starts it off so great overall, the rollout and album
