You know what I think it would work, think about the 2013-2016 stretch. I felt this was his best management of his career. With the loosies we got, NWTS prior to, eventually IYRTITL. I would love that constant anticipation and angst he had us going through at that time. The long lead up had the hype too high for CLB which skewed it's perception. Awesome album but not the epic project I expected from the title, build up etc. That Elliot interview, toosie slide video, the trailer, the LNCL video all had a grandiose feel and CLB didn't match that to me

songs like n 2 deep to balance it but still have that hip hop hip hop feel. not really in love with pipe down like the rest of y’all. singing on there boring but i love the beat

no friends in the industry beat so fire but he played it so safe.

i don’t even need him to experiment. his flow and cadence will always be top in the game but man i wish songs like NFITT just felt tougher

i just want him to sound hungry again man. he plays it too safe every album. the past couple of drake albums I like a couple songs and forget about the bulk of the project in a month.
