Just finished CrossCode. It’s a unique action RPG with a simple set of mechanics that contain a surprising amount of depth once you apply them to combat and puzzle-solving. The game takes place in a virtual reality MMO and does a lot of interesting stuff with its setting, and also has one of the most creative applications of a silent protagonist that I’ve ever come across.
I was initially hesitant to pick this game up because I thought it was going to be some dumb pixel art nostalgia bait thing, but this video convinced me to give it a chance and I ended up putting sixty hours in to it. Between CrossCode and Hollow Knight, it's impressive how these indie developers with smaller budgets and limited manpower have been able to produce these games that are so large in scale.
Gonna pick this up it sounds lit
gonna try to play through the HITMAN World of Assassination trilogy (HITMAN 1 + 2 are included as DLC for HITMAN 3, so it runs in-game)
so far, its pretty fire
Playing Control and The Oldest House probably my favorite setting this generation.

I love how brutalist architecture is incorporated in to the level design, and all the little notes and videos and audio logs scattered around everywhere are genuinely interesting.

Great game. I think about it when not playing but if I had to say a bad thing about the game is that it runs like shot at times. But great game forreal, and the story and lore…the world is up there with all the greats if remedy continues with the story and develops sequels. Like I really wanna learn more!
Recently finished Ratchet: Deadlocked and Ys Seven. Great games and I recommend the two.
Deadlocked is so underrated, its a shame Insomniac thinks its a misstep because it was a worthy follow up to the R&C trilogy.
Ys Seven its an jrpg with an immaculate ost and very fun gameplay. Story was really interesting.
Playing through NieR:Automata on XSS and I’m loving it Just finished route B and so excited to find what route C is going to bring. I hear it’s lit.
Nier Replicant - 2/5
I cannot f***ing believe they made me play through the second half of the game three f***ing times just to get the true ending. The game felt like a chore at multiple points, which really lowered my opinion of the game despite its beautiful narrative and music. I would have given this a 5/5 if they found a way to make me run through the second half of the game only twice instead of three times and if they added a save point right before the final boss. I'll really miss Kaine and Emil.
