My Hispanic gf and other Hispanics have told me it’s cause this album is a bit brighter. Not more ‘poppy’ per say but more feel good and less trap oriented, so it’s appealing to more audiences on top of his already huge (and growing) demos

I’m asking this because the music he’s making has always been up to par in terms of quality, and has had a decent catalog of hits either as a guest or his own s*** prior to 2022. But he really hit a stride in 2022 without really changing his formula up at all (which isn’t a bad thing at all, he definitely improves on the sounds he explores), which is why I’m curious he had such a randomly dominating year.

Yeah id agree and in general I think it's cause he's happier now for a minute he seemed really sad and wasn't handling the fame well even had some issues with other Latin artist.

My more serious answer would just be that he’s really the only household name when it comes to Spanish-speaking artists. All it takes for an artist to blow us just one song high on the charts.
