He definitely has an unprecedented amount of reach when it comes to non-Spanish speakers listening to Spanish-speaking music
I completely agree.
That’s what I was trying to say. He’s easily the biggest Latin music star so he was doing numbers off of that community already, that traction got him high on the charts and got the whites/chart-watchers listening too
That’s my guess
Yeah the album is pure fun he really made a stadium type album and people are responding not just in his fanbase but outside of it.
It's funny cause he made a big deal about not tryna appeal to Americans but this album really feels like his most commercial imo and this era as a whole to me atleast.
not tryna appeal to americans then it becomes big af in america 🤔 i fw the integrity
This sounds like a lot of downplaying ngl
Alot of cope but he's right about him being the only real crossover Spanish artist out rn aswell tho it's def a case of "I don't listen to Spanish music but I like Bad bunny" for some folks.
But that's ok as long as they listening

he did not say he didn't wanna appeal to Americans, he was very specific. There are tons of Hispanic Americans. Who's the dumbass now
I think it’s the themes throughout the album, very national in the sense that it’s uplifting latin culture
ofc on english speakers (like me) the message is lost but im assuming most of his streams come from spanish speaking countries

Had his Future moment "Tried to make me a pop star & made me a #MONSTER"

I wouldn't say hes the only one, sure hes the biggest atm but im sure non spanish speaking folk fw the likes of J Balvin, Karol G, Ozuna, etc too.

Not to the same level tho infact they're great examples of people who had a moment but didn't last or cross the same especially Balvin.
He came in bigger but his last album wasn't nowhere near Benitos
he keeps evolving his sound compared to the generic trap bs his label used to have him make. now he makes summer anthems that seem to always fit the current mood and trend
as an artist he seems like he actually has a personality that he shows off a lot now. he was much more a label artist in the past but seems free now to really do whatever he wants and the fans enjoy it
I mean both musically and commercial this latest album is a smash. Stacked top to bottom with hits and it’s all really f***ing good music.
My question is what makes this latest album so well received and so universally praised from every corner of the music world rn? The music isn’t too different than his 2020 albums, and while those were all big in their own light, none hold a candle to Un Verano Sin Ti. The whole industry got eyes on Bad Bunny, but why now?
Momentum

NYC alone probably brought his streams up by a lot, espeically in the BX. You walk into a club up here or in Harlem where I live and you’ll hear at least 10 Bad Bunny songs
I honestly think it’s because
1) he’s very personable and likeable
2) His music is actually very good in quality and he makes turn up feel good music. He has songs everyone can enjoy.
3) He understand what his audience wants and doesn’t try to isolate them.
4) Women love the way he looks
This is his year and maybe next year he’ll take a risk but right now he’s the #1 artist in the world

Album is pretty average imo so I’m guessing it’s just that women on Twitter think he’s hot and he’s unproblematic.
My more serious answer would just be that he’s really the only household name when it comes to Spanish-speaking artists. All it takes for an artist to blow us just one song high on the charts. Once people see that they flock and his popularity has just grown exponentially from there. Really the same type of s*** that happened with Olivia Rodrigo except he makes better music than her
"album is pretty average" ok cole breezy
yo srs question does any bad bunny fans feel the album is too long or is it justified

100% justified
no skips on this album
Playing despues de la playa on the beach with an open bar was maybe the highlight of my summer
