Spot on.
Everything
All jokes aside I kind of like what he's doing with the autotune. He lost me as a fan when he stopped being produced by 40 though.
So far gone/ thank me later >>> everything since then
He seems to not be having fun with it anymore. The first 3 albums he was extremely hungry, he had something to prove. After he literally ran 2014, which was supposed to be his off year. He got confident and just wanted to make whatever music made him happy or he was feeling at the time. First, he wanted to be on hard beats, so he got Boi-da and held up in hotel rooms creating IYRTITL. Couple months later he was feeling a lot of Future and Metro, Drake flies to Atlanta for a week and they do WATTBA. He later wanted to dedicate an album to Toronto, basically portraying the change of weathers and cultures. During this period he was listening to a lot of Dance hall and Afro beats so he adds it to the album, also beef with Meek which came with a lot more aggressive bars and came out with a W. Then he spends some time in London, basically makes another Views collaborates with overseas artist while on tour. Right before Scorpion came out is where things started to get foggy. It was a monster year, but the ordeal with Pusha and Kanye made him scrap the first half of Scorpion. Side B is notorious for being the better side. Imagine how good the first half could have possibly been. Having fun wasn’t the focus anymore.
someone send this to Drake please
since views i feel like there have been like 6-7 songs that drake has REALLY worked on per project (production, melody, and verses) and the rest are just kinda mid production and he prob freestyled off the top and just called it a day
like we get that he can make effortless hits, we been seeing that for years but only real music is gonna last, all that other s*** is here today, gone tomorrow
Tell me this doesn't give you chills like he's about to drop his greatest s*** ever.....

Exactly. Most of the songs aren’t bad or anything but like it’s just nothing special at all. We already know you can make a hit with your eyes closed but where are the timeless records? Ain’t nobody going to remember Toosie Slide, What’s Next or Way 2 Sexy over something like Marvins Room, HOWGH, or Hotline Bling. It’s always hilarious to me when people actually think Drake can beat Koonye or Hov in a verzuz. Drake definitely got the most hits but Koonye and Hov got more iconic and higher quality hits. Quality > Quantity. I wish he’d stop trying to make records that go up in club and ones that will make people completely say that they are one of the best songs they’ve ever heard.
His boring delivery for me.
This is a honest thread, no hate. To all stans pls do not get nasty in here
I guess its not something he was known for but I hate the fact that his albums have fewer and fewer attempts at having a concept or theme as time goes on. obviously he's popular and has to appeal to literally billions of people all over the world but its like he doesn't care to make his albums cohesive.

He likes making playlists instead of albums. You can tell he just wants each of his albums to be an episode of OVOSOUNDRADIO now.
