^ i think these are all pretty good. they present pretty interesting ideas that are relevant to the search for god kanye's been talking about. the song in general is pretty journalistic in nature, as is a lot of kanye's work since TLOP, i'd say, tbh. it's less storytelling and more in-the-moment stream of consciousness type stuff.

i agree with you that it'd be cool to return to some form of pre-planned storytelling instead of this kinda pre-planned in-the-moment type s***, but the lyricism isn't all bad. but it is different, and approaching it w/ that perspective is going to help you appreciate it more.
