He was something new and fresh.
Different voice and new sound combined with charisma and character.
His music resembled that of gangster NY rap mixed with modern sound with influence of 50.
mind boggling that he was only 20
he was just getting started
It’s crazy atleast for me that these rappers are literally my age dying. Always seems like they’re older
X was 20
Juice was 21
Pop was 20
Peep was 21
Like we would’ve went to the same school and s***
Heartbreaking when you think about it, just young kids
Personally speaking:
The energy he put into his music, especially Flexin, Scenario and Better Have Your Gun, the relationship he had with his producer, essentially further bridging the gap between the UK and US in particular.
He was special and there was no reason for him to die at all.
Yes, Victor Victor kinda f***ed his rollout and his album isn't all that (imo), but his first two tapes were insane.

What’s even crazier that people forget how Biggie and Pac died in their early 20’s as well.

No way he was 21

Nah he had just turned 21 a week before he died
Unique voice and great flow, delivery. It’s music is overall okay but def had some gems. So much potential
He was getting into using more melody as well as making Spanish songs too
drill influenced latin music would be crazy
Tell me this nigga wasn't gonna be the next 50 after this.
god damn this is hard as f***
Came closer to being the king of NY than Rocky.
Niggas who dressed like this and hang in soho the only ones who thought rocky was ever capable of being the king of ny 😂
Popularized the drill scene. Dope voice. Good energy. Brough back much needed masculinity to hip hop.
I think he’ll be far more influential than peep juice world or x when it’s all said and done
I liked Meet the Woo Vol 1 a lot. Thought 2 was him resting on his laurels. The post-humous record was a bloated collab fest with a pop turn. Was waiting for him to lean hard into that 50 angle. His throwback tracks are great.

I still dream of the snippet El Alfa posted.
We never getting that
I know I'm about to get cooked
But it's funny cuz I never liked his music
And after he started singing
Look I'm not trying to look disrespectful talking about a person who passed, but... what's on his music that makes people like him so much
I know what a vagina feels like
