It’s certainly not possible while foreign capitalist powers still exist around that society so it’s either all countries disappear and the whole world becomes one or no communism at all.
And even if nobody gets addicted to power and tries to take over this new free population, new problems will eventually arise and new political systems will be put in place to overcome them and we’re back to square one.

like music and film to be exact Just look at yugoslavia tbh.. i dont support communism but the entertainment and music industry was at its peak at that time. We had movies win Oscars and s***.
Our rock scenes was one of the biggest if not the biggest in europe outside of the UK.
Communism or socialism definitely has its good sides but because of our human nature it goes hand in hand with fascism

rnb spongeThe way I look at it, is socialism is a 'post-capitalistic' pathway to communism (i.e. a better society where we hold each other accountable and no one is hungry uneducated or subject to poverty, its a (commun)ity instead of everyone isolated and divided by class and all those other lines
The main thing ppl bring up is socialism/communism failed under authoritarian regimes and there are a few issues with this take:
One being that the US, in their extreme hatred of any ideology other than theirs, staged coups and funded wars and assassinations against socialist leaders and that type of s***
The ideas themselves are not that complicated and are actually more democratic, than current society under capitalism at least in the US, the worker has more say in the workplace, we move toward greater equality, from such inequality that it seems immovable.

i don't know if id label myself a communist but rather a socialist who acknowledges the goal of it is an eventual communist society
I think people get caught up in the fact that theres so many things to change and might take longer than one lifetime to get there and it's like...
