where does it talk about any cancellation whatsoever on his site?

His website has changed format-wise and for whatever reason I can’t find it. But it was on there before; here’s an article from all the way back in March with his stance on the matter forbes.com/sites/zackfriedman/2020/03/23/student-loans-forgiveness-biden

But this article explains more of what he wants to do! forbes.com/sites/adamminsky/2020/10/07/biden-affirms-i-will-eliminate-your-student-debt

An article from 8 months ago, vague comments from a rally, and no mention of it whatsoever on his official site. Hmm

Guess what, I found it! Because I’m not the one posting in bad faith, you are.

Forgive a minimum of $10,000 per person of federal student loans, as proposed by Senator Warren and colleagues. Young people and other student debt holders bore the brunt of the last crisis. It shouldn’t happen again.

Fair enough. Still, I’ll believe it when I see it. Especially considering the language on that page about needing congress

Well we'll have to see if he does it, won't we

  • Nov 14, 2020

Like I said; the formatting of his plans on his website are a lot different than they were during the summer

I think the debt forgiveness is likely on a small scale

its an easy progressive win that he can do without the senate that will let him push progressive policy into the backseat for the next 18 months leading up to senate

its a pretty easy bipartisan popular progressive policy that won't need senate approval

The brain dead Republicons need to grow a pair and realize some of this stuff won’t actually hurt the economy, it’ll run up the deficit temporarily but things such as student debt removal or universal basic income will stimulate the economy with an influx of newly wealthy (I use this term very loosely) consumers

  • Nov 14, 2020

Trump ran up the deficit anyways so they’re just f***ing stupid / don’t give a s*** about anybody other than themselves

    Synopsis

Nowhere in bidens plan does he mention universal healthcare. In fact he readily admits it wont cover 100%

"As president, Biden will stop this reversal of the progress made by Obamacare. And he won’t stop there. He’ll also build on the Affordable Care Act with a plan to insure more than an estimated 97% of Americans."

The 3 percent aren’t actually the bottom 3 percent of US citizens, it’s the 3 percent who choose to pay the penalty under Obamacare instead of opting into the insurance, which is a decision they make ideologically speaking. The only way to force them into this would be legal penalties and that’s ridiculous lol

  • Nov 14, 2020

The question itself is ridiculous. To expect a singular congressperson in a body of 435 to “accomplish” anything themselves is either a grand misunderstanding of American bureaucracy or a purposely slanderous framing.

Though it should be noted that she has promoted progressivism/socialism and caused untold thousands to become more interested in politics, which is more than 99% of House members can boast, most of whom remain no-names due to their nonexistent impact

AOC is pushing for actual change. It’s crazy how democrats hate on her as much as conservatives 😐

Right? Personally I am pushing for everyone to get cybersuits so we can fly from city to city. That would bring actual change. Wonder why they never pass it.

Center dems don’t pass her s***, obviously lol. Neolib circlejerk thread

    OP keep moving the goalposts

If politics is working with people you dont agree with, why don't moderate Democrats work with her to pass legislation that will help people? Even as a performative measure since none of it will ever get past McConnell who ironically never has to work with anyone to get the conservative agenda passed

True, her pushing for Medicare for all is like pushing for cybersuits. Both are crazy bro

because her proposals only benefit her agenda. It’s the equivalent to someone pro abortion telling a committee of pro lifers that they should support planned parenthood centers.

The reason moderate Dems can get s*** done with moderate republicans is because their beliefs aren’t too far off and can be negotiated
