I grew up around Muslims and Latinos. Picked up some Arabic and Spanish in my youth. Can't speak it but can understand it enough to have a conversation with somebody. Learned some French and French-Creole from Haitians too.

It’s a deep and rich culture but still fairly homogeneous, ethnically and otherwise. Most people in mexico are just white/native mix to varying degrees, a few black mexicans and middle easterns but not like in brazil or cuba, and all generally following mexican culture (I know regional variations exist like in every other country on earth but that doesn’t make it “diverse” in a discussion about the most diverse countries on earth

Lemme not say "Native" as there are Blacks in Mexico who were brought to Mexico as slaves, but there is a pretty sizeable community/population of Afro-Mexicans who been there since like...the 18th and 19th century
