Working/going to school remotely is going to become a lot more normalized and that’s a good thing

    ...nah.

If this quarantined state of living becomes normal even just past the summer...that's the entry grounds for VR to really become a mainstream big box industry. Which opens up so many other things. Enter Immersive VR p***, s***simulation bots, VR "memories", VR "friends"

Lol they gon have you go to the theaters in VR and dead the OG thing.

It's gon take away what was even left of the adolescence experience and make the next generation even worse than 90s babies socially

Think how iPod Touch led to us damn near living on social media now only 13 years later. In 07, Twitter/IG/Snap weren't even thought of as the pinnacle of the iPod Touch (iPhone) was gonna be used for.

This s*** gonna get sucky on all levels.

On top of all the other obvious s*** niggas is talking about

People really can’t handle 2-3 weeks without constant social interaction? It’s not like you don’t have internet and you can still leave the house if you really want to.

you think it’s only gonna last 2-3 weeks lol....

Idk about all that but I’m cool with not having to go into the office or go into class a couple of days out of my week. Like if I can do 3 days working from home and 2 days in the office that’s perfect to me. A few niggas at my job we’re already on the work from home wave way before this outbreak even happened.

Less emissions from transportation, can do work more efficiently, more comfortable, can work in a different state if you want for tax purposes, etc. the benefits outweigh the negatives for me.

If you become addicted to the VR s*** than that’s on you

Like social media is a good thing but if you’re living through it then that’s on you. If you’re an adult and working/going to class from home and you’re not making a point go outside/socialize/work out etc that’s a problem with the individual and not the system

doesn't have to be constant but having a bit of small talk about sports or music here and there with ur coworkers is nice

Also @user the same way schools have programs/classes educating kids on the dangers of d****, alcohol, cigs, unprotected sex, etc they should start doing the same for excessive Internet/social media use

If this s*** really does go on for a long time then you have a whole generation of kids who spend at least a large part of one of their formative years in lockdown, probably gonna have bad effects psychologically

    Undecided

    then we adapt

i'm sayin. we've had pandemics before. the future may be the new normal. the world is in a better place to handle something like this than it has ever been. while we do have WAY too many people, all will be okay my friend

true but u can only halfway blame a kid for something like that when they grow up in it

people born in the 90s already kinda have effects from growing up with the little social media we had in our formative years so imagine the kids of tomorrow
