after the virus spreads far enough even if we can't contain it, the majority of the population will eventually have antibodies for it.

Over 40% of the worlds population has been wiped out multiple times with nowhere near the medical knowledge of today

    We'll be fine

like 60% with the black plague. And they didn't even have a cure. It just dwindled away.

Meanwhile we've doubled our entire population in 20 years AND surpassed the overall amount of humans that has ever existed just with today's numbers.

Also, how things were was heading from bad to worse. The rich getting richer. Poverty. Corruption. It honestly felt like society was moving towards an inevitable singularity.

things will go back to normal eventually. just won’t be till next year probably

    This is not the plague

  • Mar 31, 2020

    We'll be fine.

And I'd rather die than never be able to go into a room with more than 10 people again and I know I'm not the only one. So it is what it is past a certain point.

2020 has been the release of Life 2 and we all know that sequels are rarely better than the original. Maybe god will patch this s*** soon or maybe you gotta be rich and pay for DLC to get a playable game. Who knows at this point

It’s not even that. I just been working and having class school from home the last couple of weeks and it’s been great. I think people should have the option to do it more often if they want to.

People save a lot of time, they save money on transportation, you cut out a lot of bullshit hour long meetings because you realize can be solved with a 15 min phone call. Also less pollution due to less people traveling. WSFH Doesn’t even have to be an every day thing. maybe 2 times a week

Not to mention you have the freedom to travel as well.

Global pandemics are going to become a whole lot more common. People even in developing countries are flying around the world, so diseases spread more easily, and antibiotic resistant bacterial diseases are already common. People getting put into more crowded spaces, have more income meaning more livestock for meat/dairy, which is another vector of disease.

    This is just the beginning

Ah yes. I too believe when bad things happen no good things can happen simultaneously
