Am I missing something? I've just seen it and I don't get the hype. I think the plot is still sustainable for a modern day film but every other thing about it mainly the dialogue and aesthetics were weird but basic
2001 and Clockwork Orange are the most overrated films I've seen tbh
I might lowkey agree with this. But ima go give another rewatch to be sure I agree.
But Dr. Strangelove >>>>>>>>>>>
You won't even give him a reason?
Watch the film
There are multiple reasons in every scene
It's like someone asking you "what's so great about Citizen Kane?" and being dismissive. Give the person some context you pretentious prick.

lmfao all you have to do is Google the movie and a million reviews and articles come up about why it’s great, so why would someone take their valuable time to paraphrase something that has surely already been said much better somewhere else???
this thread is f***ing garbage. if you don’t like the movie that’s fine, but what is the point of making a thread like this about such an old and widely discussed film other than to appear too dumb to use the internet?

Why does anyone ask anything in that case? When you can just look it up online. STFU.
Malcolm McDowell's career-best performance, Kubrick's direction/vibes, music, futuristic dystopian setting (for the time) and the moral ambiguity. Great flick tbh

Back in the day it was known as one of the most f***ed up movies ever.
Really nothing compared to today tho
Also that opening scene with the pan from Alex's face in the milk-bar while that menacing title-track is playing is so iconic
