After watching it, I felt like the book would be 10x better. S*** is just collecting dust on my bookshelf though.

Honestly it's one of the best book adaptions ever made. Really true to the book & even has a better ending than the book too.

The book is great man
Malcolm McDowell's career-best performance, Kubrick's direction/vibes, music, futuristic dystopian setting (for the time) and the moral ambiguity. Great flick tbh
if....> clockwork when it comes to malcolm for me tbh
Also that opening scene with the pan from Alex's face in the milk-bar while that menacing title-track is playing is so iconic
Got me really hyped for the film
lmfao all you have to do is Google the movie and a million reviews and articles come up about why it’s great, so why would someone take their valuable time to paraphrase something that has surely already been said much better somewhere else???
this thread is f***ing garbage. if you don’t like the movie that’s fine, but what is the point of making a thread like this about such an old and widely discussed film other than to appear too dumb to use the internet?
Whats the point of making this thread? Because I want to know ktt's opinion. Can I google what ktt's opinion of this movie is? Don't be ignorant.
2001 and Clockwork Orange are the most overrated films I've seen tbh
Agree for clockwork but you buggin for 2001

Why did you prefer the movie ending?
The book sense of redemption at the end makes it way better for me. Alex suffered the hell... but that awful solution apparently worked?

It’s as if these niggas don’t understand the purpose of a discussion forum 🤦🏽♂️
very interesting world
interesting characters
consistent tension
enough elements to be compelling + kubrick did it so it was gon hit to the fullest extent
This is Kubrick’s most overrated movie. It’s just not very good. While I do enjoy the traditional Kubrick direction and his penchant for center framing and symmetry, there’s not enough in the movie to make it memorable. I think it has suffered a lot from time. A Clockwork Orange, especially its messaging, doesn’t work very well in 2021. Very macabre and off putting.
Watch Lolita.

Just added Lolita to my watchlist based on the poster alone

Lmao moron. Might as well just never have discussions “just go google my argument. Theres a million articles on it”

Calling ACO macabre and off putting but recommended a pedo movie
I'm so glad that i can't relate
2001 & ACO among the greatest films of all time and they both showcase everything Kubrick was known for in the best way possible
