thats real makes alot of sense
but actually cuz he was an amazing songwriter rapper and vocalist.
obv the dre s*** is like all time classic music but he could kill even just random low level producers beats and turn them into all time classic songs
absolutely insane pen
Tbh i just say he is the best because everyone else does and i fear disagreement. I also only know 5 rappers or so
This is a man that is as close as you can possibly get to the definitive greatest of all time, yet a lot will say he didn’t have the ‘technical’ ability to warrant that status.
Personally, he has always been and will always be my favourite rapper ever. Does he have the technicality of a GZA or a Rakin or a Koop G Rap? No. Does he have the lyricism of Nas? No. But he has so much more. His energy, voice, charisma, delivery, etc. make him so iconic to me. He transcends all of these considerations for me. He’s a force. When I listen to his music, I’m captivated by him. When he has guests, he always steals the show. There’s just something about Pac that defies logic and typical measurement.
What do you think?
@BOSSaint :
“Pac specifically wrote music for black people but his writing was so honest other races and ethnicities could also relate.
There was a level of vulnerability and soul in his music that touched the listeners heart and soul that i don’t think most artists fail to achieve not only rappers. You FEEL everything he said.
I think about what Shock G said about Pacs rapping style. He compared it to MLK delivery. I don’t think there was a coincidence. Nas and Jay are the GOATS to me and Lupe and Future are my favorite rappers but I don’t mention Pac because there’s no word I can describe that are so great to do it.
To compel to the minds and hearts of us regulars and still give inspiration to millions and touch spirits with words 30 years later is something that no other rapper has done
He will forever be amazing”
the Passion he put into every song. He made you feel what he was saying, no filler, no bar was wasted, His voice was gripping bc he had a sense of urgency. I think 2Pac is still the pinnacle of what a rapper aspires to be because through his music he moved people and had the potential to create social change. The govt wanted to ban the sale of his albums because they knew his mind and ideas with enough time could become the seeds to a revolution. They saw 2Pac's face and felt FEAR!
I think part of this was his unique family & upbringing but just as a rapper, Pac songs will make you think deeply about what it is to be a Black person, what your potential in life is, what your soul's true purpose could be..
I don't believe that many rappers before or after him could make music that is so inspiring bc it wasn't just a guy talking on a beat, he lived a certain way and put his ideals into his albums in a way that makes a listener want to take Action
Everybody knows Pac is my favorite rapper of all time. The Michael Jordan of this rap s***.
Tbh i just say he is the best because everyone else does and i fear disagreement. I also only know 5 rappers or so
That’s a lie
They say p**** and paper is poetry, power and pistols
Plotting on murdering motherfuckers 'fore they get you
@Brave
His charisma and personality are of course the big ones that you and plenty others have covered extremely well, I have nothing to add there. But there’s one core trait Pac perfected that glues his entire pathos together: he mastered the ability to be substantive through easily digestible language without sacrificing poignancy. Doing this is arguably the hardest quality to achieve in hiphop lyricism or lyricism in general, and much harder to pull off than densely articulated lyricism
Anyone of any age or nation could identify with his lyrics and feel its power, whether his subject matter hit close to home or not. This is truly the mark of not only a master wordsmith, but the mark of an artist with the uncanny ability to unite the people. And isn’t that what this is all about?

Jesus this is a w - BRAVE post
He was well read, something a lot of ppl don’t note when talking bout Pac.
For me, one of the things that makes a rapper stand out to me is (and honestly this isnt solely what makes one stand out but to me it does make my ears perk up) how do they carry themselves in interviews?
It always seemed like whenever you put a mic in front of him, every word meant something. To this day, i think this Vibe ‘96 interview is imo the greatest hip hop interview of all time. So many topics was touched in so little time with the savvyness of someone that was well read on those kind of subjects. And it just showed how well aware he was of everything. A lot of niggas these days be…living under a rock.
The biggest con he had imo as a rapper was his loyalty to be rap LeBron James. He carried a LOOOOOOOT of trash niggas on tracks that he shoulda just let be him spazzing for 2 straight verses solo.
his versatility
man's catalog had something for everybody and he had great mic presence when getting those thoughts across
not many people are regarded as a pioneer of both conscious rap and gangster rap and have classics in both
Ultimate rap superstar, amazing message, openly was changing and adapting in real time, could rap for days, great voice, hit maker, and is the best personality maybe music let alone rap has ever seen

Yeah, he was getting better and better before he died. The best version of him was the Makaveli album.
