    Buy a car for ~3k.

Ya'll niggas need to educate yourselves on assets/liabilities. Build up your assets! A lease is a liability.

I paid $1800 for my 2005 Saturn Ion 5 years ago and it's still running. Buy from a dealership, not from a person. With a dealership, you know it's a trade in or a repo. If it's off someone, there's probably a reason why they're selling.

Planning on moving to New York in the next 2-3 years so leasing is the best option right now for me. I get the upsides to financing but it doesn't make sense in my position.

If you're moving to NY, you think you're going to be driving around? NY has one of the most thorough transit systems in the country.

i average 15mpg on a good day, anything next will be an improvement

    not even in a e55

Ok bro but what’s ur daily commute?

  • throwawayokay

how was maintenance on the cla ? i’d rather whip that than an accord but if maintenance and reliability isn’t relatively similar i’ma pass

Idk I got 2 years free maintenance, nothing but tire rotating and oil changed, and since it’s 10k oil changes I only spent $135 on an oil change in the 3 year lease

How do you guys find the best lease deals?

I'm 23 yrs old and I have had a 2012 Camry since like 2014/2015 (used to be my Dad's, then he bought it and gave it to me).

I am making about 60-75k a year and I have no rent expense.

I am going to sell the Camry and I want a 2019 or 2020 car to lease (do not believe I want to buy a car).

I should be able to find a good deal this yr b/c a lot of dealerships will be desperate af, especially to get rid of 2019 and 2020 models.

    Looking into:

Entry level Benz, BMW, or Audi

But I want to pay like $300 a month

Youre gonna need to put a fat downpayment or have excellent credit score to get $300 a month on a benz/bmw/audi

Look at as many dealerships as possible, dont just stick to the one closest to you. Dont be afraid to drive an hour or two to get the perfect car for you because afterall youre the one thats gonna be needing to drive it everyday

Finance a used car from like 5 years back honestly. New cars woat.

You're right, but the main benefit of a new car is that it's under warranty for at least 3 years so you don't have to worry about any surprise repair bills.

Budget: $2,400 down, $300 tops (out the door) per month

    Inspiration:

    Mazda 3

    Volvo S60

Love SUVs and bigger cars in general but that'll cost a pretty penny. Any recommendation is valid.

With $2400 down, you can easily get a q60s red sport lease and have it at the $300-380 range with good credit of course. A simple tune would make it a 3.9 second 0-60 car if speed something you care about.

You're still spending more money unless you buy an absolute lemon

    mazda goat car

I would recommend financing rather than leasing but Hyundai goat for having a 100,000 mile warranty. Mazda nice too tho.

I don't think anyone leasing a Mazda or Volvo is going to be the same person looking to tune a Q60

Truthfully I don't know enough about cars and the biggest part for me would be the look of the car and basic reliability

I also want better acceleration than my Camry and some more tech (I don't have a backup cam rn)

That’s the thing, all the entry level Audi bmw and mercs are v4’s and probably on par with a Camry acceleration wise. You’d either have to get a Kia stinger/Mustang or a more expensive mid level German

Hmm I am surprised to see the 0-60 and even HP isn't a huge difference with the Audi and Benz

I used to like the look of Camaro and Mustang's when I was younger, but not as much anymore. I don't like 2 doors either. But I am looking into them

I like the Bmw 3 series Gran Coupe, but a bit out my budget, unless these dealerships get real desperate.

Obviously these dealerships have a good amount of cars left from 2020 and 2019 and 2021 models are coming

Honestly bro, I ended up leasing an entry level merc and regretted it really bad. If you can get a Honda or something and stick to it until you can save and buy a super nice whip if not I think ur best option would be a 4 door BMW 430i, slightly faster than those entry levels but a bit more than ur price range, you’d be lookin at like 400-500 mo

Basic reliability isn't going to go with any of the car brands you listed, and for $300/m you're not going to get more acceleration from the brands that you want

Haha I'd be down but that's out of my price range. Ended up going with the 2020 Mazda3 -- 2k down and $229/mo 36 months 10k miles/year

I'm 20 working part time as a social media manager for a hype shoe store in LA. Living rent free (a blessing) and have very few expenses. This lease will be my first liability and bill.
