    I actually watched this episode recently and looked up the story behind this. Seth McFarlane’s old professor said it when he would explain why Sound of Music isn’t a great film but no one understood what that even meant

    I watched the clip and they did that Family Guy dialogue thing where they cut off what he said and I still don’t know what it means lmao. It likes the world it built and wanted to spend a little time in it before resolving “the point” of the film? Hella ironic for Family Guy to throw that criticism around facetious or not lol

    I think it’s just a joke about his old professor who hated sound of music, which imo is a movie that doesn’t need too much digging. I mean I haven’t seen that movie since I was in the 2nd grade. I think Seth McFarlane took The Godfather since it’s one of the most successful movies ever and inserted it into his old professor’s Sound Of Music argument
