Nov 11, 2020it was just too bloated. most of the songs were fine, but if he had just rolled them out via EPs or loosies before the album and cut the album down to a core ~18 tracks, it would have been received better. legitimately good songs were just drowned out by bad sequencing and the album having a 1h30m runtime

Which stings even more considering the two initial singles were goated and his 2018 feature run was impeccable
The Pusha beef disrupted the project to a certain extent for sure, but ultimately, the OVO team looked at that tracklist and were like
"Yeah sweet we'll keep it at 25 tracks and leave RHB, I'm Upset, Talk Up, That's How You Feel, Finesse (damn even naming these reminds me how much filler there was) on the album"

More Life was amazing.But Scorpion was just mad long and bloated, it gave such a terrible listening experience idk what they were going for. OVO phoned that in so hard. But apart for its good single songs the album is Drake at his abs worst :vomit:

Would have been received way f***ing better if it was just cut into 2 albums and a couple bloat songs cut maybe. One is the rap album one is the rnb album. Really don't know why he decided to do the migos / Rae srem bullshit when no one enjoyed it.
Peak is peak drake no one can argue me on that. Needs a weeknd ft tho

Scorpion had a lot of good songs on the album, it also had a lot of bad songs on the album. If it was cut down to around 15 tracks, it would've been a great album.
