Y'all just giving him a pass cause he's Drake
He doesn't need a pass from you or anyone else.
Scorpion was not long. You are misguided by losers writing stupid ass opinions
Take care 20 tracks
Views 20 tracks
Scorpion 25 tracks
And now you got all these B list rappers putting out “deluxe versions” of albums with like 12-15 throwaway tracks to stay afloat. Often forgettable
Scorpion is a masterpiece. You’ll realize in 5 years
You missed More Life having 22 songs.
I agree it's bloated but there are at the very least 18-20 amazing songs on there. How high of a standard have we set for Drake that shooting 20/25 is the worst thing in human history?
People are doing to Scorpion exactly what they did to Views - overly criticize it when they wouldn't do that to any other artist who made a project with 18-20 great songs out of 25 and they know it. The only people they have this amount of criticism for is Drake.
“Amazing” c’mon man
You missed More Life having 22 songs.
More Life was fire and cohesive
Honestly the idea of the album is incredible but he just didn't pull it off. I think a double Drake album where one disc is hip hop and the other is R&B would be great he just had a bad outing. Nobody bats 1000 tho
this man dropped a 1h30m album like I’m supposed to head to the theatre to watch an A24 movie
What made it worse was that the features that were supposed to be good were forgettable asf like Don’t Matter To Me or Talk Up
How's verse was 🔥
Niggas are weirdos! Side A is fire and side b has RHB and that summer games trash other than that that s*** fire too.
What the Heck is your problem @op
And who the f*** says heck
More Life was fire and cohesive
It was actually a pretty random compilation

Lmao how? The album was literally a ode to UK/International sounds and the European tour life lmaao from the track names to the features to the sounds what u on about?

It’s not even an album, sure you can like it but it’s actually all over the place. It’s all 22 tracks as mention previously. I didn’t mention it cause it’s not an album
What song are you talking about man
Whole side A and March 14 was made before push’s said something so it wasn’t like he was really gonna deny his kid
It was actually a pretty random compilation
Nah the structure of more life was fire + best transitions in his career
Eh I greatly enjoy every single song on Scorpion so I don't really see the criticism
Drake was obsessed with the idea of making his own Life After Death. People around him(40) probably wanted him to cut songs, but he refused. Also Pusha-T interference probably changed the narrative/expectations for the album.
Did he achieve in making his own Life After Death? Well volume was not an issue.. but quality was.
Its f***ing hard making 20-22 really good songs, that have a cohesive feeling.
Album is fine, but not his best.

It really wasn't. Go look at that tracklist again.
go look at the more life tracklist, nothing special there

Passionfruit, Teenage Fever, Get It Together, Do Not Disturb, Sacrfices?? That’s just off head youre bugged out lmfaaooo
Agreed. I kept Scorpion back in 2018. I still go back to TC every f***ing year. It was just a different vibe and 2011-2012 was a great year for me. The Pusha beef really had the OVO team scrambling and throwing in fillers into the album. There were some stand out tracks but a lot of MIDs as well. I felt like there was no theme to the album. It just felt like a compilation album to me. With that being said I’m waiting on CLB.

This.
op got me to listen and I'm addicted to this album again, the only double lp on my classics list. It's one of those albums you wish you could experience for the first time again, this era and the energy around it was one of the biggest moments for an artist in hip-hop.
God's Plan, Nice for What, I'm Upset, IMF and those were just the singles! Even the album joints hit
